This hotel is amazing in the summer due to the outdoor pool and bar terrace. It feels like being abroad. The communal areas are lovely, the food in the restaurant was very good and the spa was beautiful. The downsides of this hotel are that the room was very dated and tired (we had a cosy superking) and the parking charge of £15 per night for the hotel car park was excessive (so we parked directly outside on the road for our entire stay, which was free and actually closer to walk to with our bags than the car park).

Very Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel and room was perfect, air con was a massive help in this weather. The spa facilities were the best and just what we needed. Will be back again soon!

Lovely spot overlooking the town.Bit of a hill to get back from town We stayed in a refurbished large double which was very large with a king-size bed. Also had aircon which worked very well in a particularly hot spell. Only issue is if you had mobility issues there was a small number of steps to get to the bathroom. Breakfast very nice with a choice that was cooked to order. Restaurant and drinks were a little pricey but very nice

Lovely clean room, we really enjoyed using the spa facilities as a couple, a lovely place for a romantic stay away. Using the outdoor pool in the sun was a bonus.

My husband and I both have mobility difficulties, every one of the staff were amazing. The building is not set up to accommodate disabled people but with help we managed to have a lovely stay

Hard to find fault with this hotel. Our only gripe was that there was no shade by the pool, even with umbrellas at certain times. We had to drag our sun loungers under a palm tree (which was great). The hotel is absolutely immaculate. Everything is perfectly designed and placed masterfully. Every inch. Breakfast is just too good. It has absolutely everything you need and at the highest quality. Spa? ridiculously good. One suggestion: put at least one umbrella outside the spa. In a heat wave, the spa gets super humid and going outside has a nice breeze but you're right in the sun. It would make for a great break from the humidity if you could go out the side door and chill on a lounger under an umbrella. Oh, one more gripe - parking. Ten quid per night feels punitive. We parked up the road for free.

Wonderful one night stay. Huge beautiful room, air conditioning was a bonus in this heat. Loved using the spa facilities and outdoor pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent breakfast.

My main complain is stuff in SPA area. They were very rude to me and other people. Completly overzelous, bossy and ruining mood to everyone. Scandinavian sauna was too cold (below 80C) and ice room didn't work. Cocktails on 'happy hours' were £20 and Long Island Ice Tea tasted like sprite mixed with coke w/o alcohol :-/ I order once and wouldn't order it ever again. On the opposite side - both spa and pool area were well mainteined and clean - much better then most hotels in this price range. Breakfast was ok. Basic room lacked electric sockets near bed and bathroom could be a bit better - it wasn't a problem but it was something that even hotels like premier inn offer on a better level.

Its high end with great decor and fab spa facilities. Our stay was somewhat spoiled by drunken guests and their friends in the next room making excessive noise and shouting between 12.30-2.30 am, keeping us awake, security was called twice to try and resolve and did offer us a rom change in the middle of the night which was not practical. On speaking to Harry the manager it appears this was not the only case that evening. The hotel should consider introducing a quiet policy after 12 with removal of clients who dont adhere, sadly a few spoil it for everyone else. We were offered a free late check out but as we had to leave our car park was reimbursed as a gesture of goodwill, which was appreciated.

The spa was incredible Outdoor pool lovely Staff were really pleasant Comfy bed Super breakfast When we retuned in the evening found the room menu but no phone number! Unable to order food 😞 Made do with hot chocolate & cookie 😞 Wasn’t aware of hotel car park charges until our arrival!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very nice, pool and spa were lovely and food was good. My only complaint about the room would be that the bed was too hard. The hotel is on a steep hill so if, like me, you have health issues you'll need to get a taxi back from the centre of Torquay.
