Good stay. Clean, comfy bed, great having kitchenette. Only minor points I would change - kettle was placed high on cupboard and shower was hand held.

Whan I booked the hotel I paid upfront with the understanding that I could cancel right up to the day before arrival. Tried before going to cancel the last night as having to come home early (should have been able to according to my original booking) but told they could not do it. Tried again to cancel when we got there and told they could not do it either as it was a special rate (complete lie). Lady manager told me that we had paid for breakfast and then at the end charged me for it. Surprised that they said they didn't speak English considering the hotel full of English and American tourists. Out of pocket by 150 Euros. Will never recommend this hotel and owners and will never stay with Ibis again.

Budget hotel as the name states. Basic room was adequate for my solo 3 night stay. Staff (Pasquale) were very helpful and friendly. Walk across the nearby bridge for Cabourg and many dining/shopping opportunities. Would’ve like to have had an onsite laundry. Overall clean basic stay and would recommend if you’re not looking for many amenities. Limited front desk hours.

It’s an Ibis Budget so one knows it is basic. But this hotel is very clean, functional, friendly and has what I needed for an overnight. Secure on-site parking and a great breakfast are added bonuses. If you get here before 5pm, there’s a self check-in and you need your booking reference number for the kiosk at the hotel entrance. You then get a ticket with room number and passcode, Hotel is close to a Lidl and the wonderful old town on Dives-sur-Mer.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, pleasant surroundings, new decor, next to grocery store, exceptional breakfast. Kid loved the bunk bed. Very highly recommended.

Good location 18mins walk to Cabourg main beach, close to supermarket & large car park. very good bed and mattress, no aircon, no proper door to separate toilets from bedroom. Overall, we had a good rest; this is IBIS “budget” so don’t come with high expectations, this isnt what you should look for :)

Ibis was cheep and cheerful, but thats what we expected. it was only a 20min walk into the town centre , lots of parking, clean and tidy. It did take us a while to book in with the automatic door system, but worked it out in the end. will use again. Regards K. W.

Very disappointing experience. According to Hotels.com the check-in should have been at midday. When we got there, the check-in was at 2pm but only on a machine in the entrance. It did not accept the reservation number given by Hotels.com so had to wait until 5pm to check-in. Reception only staffed between 5pm and 9pm. We tried to check in by ringing the hotel but calls from foreign mobile phones are not accepted. Went into an Ibis Budget in a neighbouring town as we tried to spend the evening somewhere else. The receptionist tried to call Ibis Budget Dives-sur-Mer several times for us but nobody answered the phone. In the end we had to rush back before 9pm to check in and were greeted by a very unapologetic receptionist who blamed Hotels.com.

It was so nice there with clean room, a good shower, and comfortable bed.The breakfast is quick and easy with selections that get you day started. French cappuccino and croissants, so typical for the morning, add to the genuine feeling of the historic area. I Love the Japanese gardens that have been tended with care. Those gardens are unique for a budget hotel, and include nice sitting areas. Just outside the hotel is a great path to the ocean, along a river. I must recommend walking all the way to beach at the end of the river. You have to go across the bridge, and turn right to find the river's mouth and when the tide is high it is wonderful to see the old homes across the water at Houlgate with the tree reflections on the water, anchored boats, and beautiful sunset, this part of France will charm you. It's about 3.5 miles trip to walk to the end and back. A grocery store for picnic supplies is very close, as are several restaurants, a gas station, and shops. It was easy to get to historic sites and museums, and I attended many WWII ceremonial activities. Though I don't speak French, the front desk attendants were very kind, and communicate with me in spite of language barriers.

We were visiting the Normandy landing sites the hotel is a great location to get to these, Bayeux and Giverny. It was clean and parking was very easy.

Gray location and fairly new Ibis budget so decor was much more attractive than others. Clean rooms and breakfast buffet was ample. Short walk from some great restaurants.
