This quaint hotel is in a perfect location next to Penaco Beach and the nightlife in the old town. The owner was polite and we are going to contact him to book 4 nights in October it was basic but perfect for us

Arrivée un peu désagréable, car je n’avais pas vu dans les instructions, mais si vous arrivez après 15h00 (le check in est à partir de 14h00) c’est considéré une arrivée tardive et vous devez contacter le personnel 24h à l’avance pour les aviser. J’ai vu le message 2h avant notre arrivée à l’hôtel alors j’ai avisé le responsable par la messagerie Expedia et ensuite à notre arrivée j’ai essayé de le contacter par whatsapp sans réponse. J’ai contacté l’assistance Expedia qui l’ont appelé à 3 reprises sans succès. On a dû escalader à un superviseur avant d’avoir une réponse de la part de l’hébergement. Au final on a attendu environ 45 minutes sur le trottoir avec nos bagages. L’hôtel était très propre et bien situé dans un quartier calme. La chambre était parfaite pour nos besoins, mais cette situation nous a laissés un peu amers sur le coup.

Very quaint quiet and relaxing...

In a quieter part of the resort yet around only around 500 meters from the Old Town Square. Plenty of bars and restaurants within 100 meters of the hotel. Good view of the sea from the room.

The hotel was very close to all the local attractions, the reception is rarely manned and the €20 cash charge for checking in after 3pm is excessive The room itself was great, only downside if you needed it, there is a bidet in the room, it has running hot water,, no cold and is not plumbed into any waste pipe, so this is taped up with red and white tape

The view of the beach and over the rocks towards the marina was very good.

Of all the places on my trip that I’ve stayed so far, this was my favorite. The view was absolutely spectacular. You can easily overlook the entire bay and walk to the beaches in minutes. You are surrounded with lovely restaurants and snack bars and everything Alphea has to offer. I had such a nice balcony with table and chair chairs and enjoyed sitting on my balcony watching the sunrise every morning. It was unbelievable!

Price point, cleanliness, communication and location were all perfect. The bed sufficed, for the price, this hotel was perfect.

Very disappointed, hotel is massively overpriced, room was unbelievably tiny, couldnt go on to balcony because the noise from the many building sites was absolutely awful, guy on reception was unfriendly, and unhelpful, wouldnt answer the phone when we were trying to find out why all the power had gone off??? ( leaving the many stairs in complete darkness, so we had to use our phone torch to get up and down ) albufeira old town was really dirty, the main square had to be seen to be believed ( and not in a good way) in fact the best thing about this accommodation was when we left and went to another hotel, so we could salvage what was left of our holiday.

It’s right by the beach access. The staff were friendly. The room was tiny. There was a bad smell issue in the room. The air conditioner could be better.

Fantastic view. Brilliantly located and close to the beach with a lift access to the beach. Lovely hotel very relaxed.

I picked this place as the reviews were so good, and i was not disappointed. Lovely quiet location but still only 10mins walk from the bustle of Old Town. Room was clean, staff friendly and aircon worked great. Lovely comfy bed too! Would definitely recommend

Fabulous view from terrace. Frentomar is well situated in Old Town region with lots of restaurants and bars. Rooms are modern and kept very clean. Bruno and cleaning staff were very helpful and nice. My wife and I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Perfect location overlooking the beach and ocean. We did not have a working safe and we had a sewar smell occasionally from the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and all that Albufiera offers.

A very basic property with no amenities and only provide 2 sachets of coffee, tea and sugar as a 'welcome gift' no further top ups provided, ended up buying my own. Obviously been spoilt in the hotels I use for work 3/4 times a week. Best of all had to pay 25 euros for the broken kettle. At least I didn't get charged for the glass I dropped. In fairness the place was clean but a few niggle points for me. It is located a short walk from the Old Town and is quiet.

Great hotel in a good location right at the front overlooking the sea. Well placed as you’re only a short walk into the old town square or the Marina. Spotlessly clean and staff are very friendly. The views from the front facing rooms are fabulous. Not all rooms have a balcony so just check when booking. Nice little restaurants and bars close by.
