Spacious room with an extra area for baggage and snow clothing. Staff were helpful and plenty of food options close by including a small grocery store.

Cozy warm and accommodating

Excellent helpful and friendly staff. Tours were easily able to pick me up here. Bus to the train station isn't stopping there but ordering a cab or walking is an option. Great breakfast and pub!

Very convenient when you want to do tourist attractions such as northern lights tour and they pick you up there - it’s listed as one of the hotels for pickup locations. It was pretty warm inside with insulated heating and a brick wall in your room. They also provided free breakfast, cozy common room, gym, sauna, pool to use. Right next door is the arctic thai and grill restaurant so it’s very convenient to get food there within 2 min walking distance. Also it’s an 8min walking distance from the airport bus that drops you off. Make sure to get off at the last stop which is in Old Kiruna city.

People there were very accommodating

The rooms are small, old, dated, and not well kept (see the picture of the peeling fake-wood floor). However, what really makes this possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever dealt with is the fact that they shamelessly trick you into getting something different from what you paid for. I had a group of people, and two of the rooms I booked were supposed to have two twin beds. Well, they put my friends into rooms with one queen-size bed. When I complained, they showed me the small print that showed up after I made the reservation, in which, among many other things, they say they can’t guarantee room configuration requests (even though they allow you to pay for it). Now, here’s the thing: on Hotels.com, they can enter exactly how many rooms they have and the configuration, so when the rooms get booked, that configuration is no longer offered. In other words, they purposefully list rooms with one queen-size bed as having two twin beds. Picture yourself in this situation: you book a room that is listed as one configuration, and pay for it. However, when you arrive here, tired and looking forward to getting to your room, they tell you that what you paid for is not available, so you have no choice but to take what they will give you, or go through the hassle of cancellation, fight for a refund because you canceled in less than 24 hours, and still have to try to find another hotel in Kiruna. Would you want that? Well, that’s what you risk when you deal with this hotel.

We checked out immediately after checking in this a run down hotel. They did not argue, agreed to credit us and we moved to a reasonable hotel in the new part of town.

I’ve stayed here at least 9 times previous. It is clean comfortable and the price is right. It is a working person’s property. You will see plenty of hard hats and safety vests. I will likely stay again.

Great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast with plenty of options including fruit, eggs and pastries, the Thai grill was good for a quick bite and the restaurant / bar in the hotel had good food options which were excellent. In the old centre of kiruna so the new centre is a taxi ride away but if you’re out doing organised trips, it doesn’t really matter

Very clean and cosy pub are the highlights of this hotel. I think more tour information at reception would be helpful for independent travelers, info re bus, taxi, local ski resort to make the most of the visit to kiruna.

Excellent staff, but very limited transportation. This isin the old city and there is nothing there. Requires transport to new city.

Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights here. The room was spacious & we loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Breakfast was good & staff friendly Most of the tours seem to do pick ups here which is handy but with the town centre being relocated, it is a bit away from the new centre. As it was a weekend, apparently there are very few buses & local taxis are very expensive so we walked to the city centre to have a quick look at the snow sculptures, have a coffee etc. It probably took us nearly an hour walking in the snow which was fine but would have been challenging in ice. As the airport bus only connects with flights to Arlanda & we were connecting in Copenhagen, we booked a taxi through the hotel which worked well. If you have a car, there is good carparking.

Only stayed for one night, but whilst there the staff were excellent, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the food in the Pub really good

This was a great choice for a home base in Kiruna. Although this side of town is being phased out, there is a grocery store and excellent Thai restaurant a short walk away. It was also easy for me to coordinate pick ups for my excursions from here. I was very comfortable in my cozy room, and I enjoyed the sauna as well. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

A nice facility conveniently located. The room was slightly expensive, but the comfort level was good and staff friendly.
