The room was good, air conditioning was not adequate. Clean comfortable bed. Pool is indoors but the air inside the pool room was so hot that we chose not to use it. The hotel sushi restaurant was overpriced and was just okay. Service at the restaurant was not the best and was very slow. Not sure if we would stay there again. Also going to the rooms required a map as it’s not the easiest hotel to navigate. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooftop sauna area was lovely but pool the floors down sadly. Shocked at being charged 5€ a day for “ energy costs” when checking out!!!! No replacement of coffee pods or tea bags- very mean for a 4 star hotel. We slept ok but some may find train noisy outside our window. Rhine view nice and citibikes to hire on site - very handy and cheap!

The room I was given faced the side of he property where i had trains running by every five to ten minutes. Too noisy. The direction from the reception area to my room was confusing and it was very far away.

I will start off by saying that based on our experience, this hotel is not a value for the amount of money that is charged to stay here. Prior to booking I sent the hotel 2 emails regarding getting there and some other specifics regarding our stay. They never replied. However based on the other reviews we decided to book a room for 1 night. Since we arrived by S Bahn we tried to get into the hotel by the park side entrance. We rang the doorbell next to the large glass doors and could see people at the reception desk but no one heard or saw us. So we had to carry 4 pieces of luggage all the way around the building to the elevators. When we finally artived at reception and i mentioned the doorbell, the clerk said she didn't know they had one. The clerk also did a poor job of making us feel welcome. Did not give many details about what the amenities other than the free breakfast. Our room (214) was clean and we did did find and enjoy the pool and sauna after speaking to an employee in the hallway. The real issue though came when we tried to get some sleep. Due to it's location to the rail line and lack of sound proofing, we slept no more than an hour due to the noise and trains passing every 10 minutes or so. We called the front desk twice with no answer. It was terrible and not an accommodation worth 230 euros a night. We had to leave early in the morning so I cannot comment on the breakfast, etc. Based on our experience however, I suggest you stay elsewhere.

We stayed for four nights and frankly it was a mixed bag since while the location (in a park) and customer facing entry/lobby/first floor dining were quite nice -- the rooms looked like they hadn't been renovated since the late 90s/early 2000s. Rooms had weird placements of things (for example, the bathroom sink with a huge mirror on the wall in front of it had the hand soap liquid bottle attached to the end of the mirror and frankly I had to take a step to the side to even reach it. Also, the furniture in our room (a suite btw) had old and stained chairs. The floors had upended floor plugs for the lights. Basically, not happy with the room. Also rough towels.

Nice hotel, poor WiFi in our first room, better in the second. Very hot weather and the aircon was ok but not fantastic. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff. Location is lovely next to a park. Less good points: coffee machine only in room (teabags provided but no means of using). Coffee pods charged out at an extortionate €1.50 per pod. €5 per room per day energy charge also seemed a little over the top.

Great hotel, modern with spa and indoor swimming pool. On park for strolling, but need car to get to city center, but close and easy parking.

My wife and I stayed in a suite room when we visited Mainz to see our grandchild. Breakfast was excellent, as was the bar and restaurant which we used a lot. But the hotel was sadly let down by those in reception. We reported 2 x faulty lights shortly after check-in as we were unable to see to unpack our suitcases. Reception promised to send a maintenance guy to sort the issue, but he failed to show. After an hour we went to reception to report the issue a second time. This time a maintenance guy went up to our room to show me that there was no issue with the lights at all. But he found that there were 2 x broken light-bulbs which needed replacing. He produced new bulbs and the matter was solved. But we found our check-in very stressful as a result and the 90 minutes wait for the new bulbs a complete waste of time and effort. We had checked in at night and we could not see to unpack our suitcases, which was ridiculous. Reception should not just taken the word of the maintenance guy without checking themselves. A very poor performance by those on duty in reception. Please check rooms before giving out the keys to guests.

Horrible experience at this hotel the night before an important meeting the following day in the early morning. First they told me they cannot let me "walk in" because they need a booking. So i booked right in front of them using hotels.com mobile app. Then they said we did not receive the booking. Then they act like hotels.com is a company they don't know, which is very funny as they have a hotels.com rating displayed at the front desk reception. Then they invent a new rule, as i explained my disappointment regarding the fact that i already paid. They say they should have received the booking before noon. Of course if they did say this in the first place i would have left immediately. As i saw the staff had a very unprofessional behavior (saying they could be fired etc) and it was getting very late. I felt and stayed at another hotel without any issue. The cherry at the top, they did not refund the booking yet. So beware of this hotel.

We enjoyed the lovely view from our balcony. The food was excellent and our server was awesome! He ended up being our bartender later and again he was awesome! Breakfast was great too.

Lack of air conditioning on the hottest day of the year was unfortunate but hotel provided a fan. However, perhaps they should have thought of offering an upgraded room that had aircon. Otherwise a nice place but isolated from local facilities. Train line nearby disturbed us a bit with window open slightly.

Great - top! - location, beautiful setting, good style of hotel (design, interior, rooms, etc.), good fitness place on top floor with terrace (not the usual dark little room in the cellar), nice pool area as well (not huge, but nicely done), friendly staff. The gourmet restaurant was a bit over top (also in price range for me), but the variety with other wine bar food & beer garden - top park location!! - and most amazingly breakfast on the terrace overlooking the beergarden into the park. close to the river Rhine as well. Great for a jog in the park, even close enough to downtown to go by bike (for me). Overall I really loved my stay and will come back! P.S.: only downer was that my room was towards the street with more traffic than expected at around 7-8am... (later was quiet again - and quiet at night!). For park view 'Studio' type of room is necessary to book! And tht's not a real studio, just a balcony attached...
