Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend.

Review of Villa White Queen Hotel The service at Villa White Queen Hotel was absolutely fantastic, without a doubt among the best I have ever experienced. The receptionist showed incredible care for the guests and ensured that our stay was as smooth and comfortable as possible. Despite arriving very early, at 9:30 in the morning, they prepared our room while we had breakfast so we could check in right away, get a few hours of sleep, and then enjoy the rest of the day exploring Galle. The rooms at the hotel were spacious, clean, cozy, and equipped with excellent air conditioning, as well as a fantastic bathroom and shower. The garden was lush and well-maintained, with a lovely pool where we could relax. Being able to enjoy breakfast and have a drink by the pool made the stay even more memorable. In summary, our stay at Villa White Queen Hotel was an incredible experience, and I can warmly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Galle!

Lovely looking property once inside the grounds however very unhelpful staff- basic facilities such as loo not working even though asked for it to be rectified. Would NOT RECOMMEND

Lovely hotel in quiet area of Galle just 10 mins from the beautiful old town. Our room was large and well equipped and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool was large and set in well kept gardens. Highly recommend!

This delightful villa, just outside the city centre ($2 tuk tuk ride) is a stylish, incredibly welcoming and comfortable oasis from the heat and mayhem of Galle. The staff will consistently go the extra yard to ensure that you are comfortable and feel welcome and relaxed. The property is undergoing some extensions which certainly had no impact on my stay and look as though they will be a wonderful addition to an already magnificent property. I highly recommend and it would certainly be my only choice should I return in the future!

Taken over by Lakmal and his business partner in July 2018 after a couple of years being left to run down by the previous owner this hotel is a gem. Architecturally designed the building is light and airy with huge rooms and ensuites. The suite, should you choose to book it, is enormous. Located away from the centre of Galle it is only s 20 to 25 minute walk or, alternatively, enjoy a tuk-tuk ride - only 300 rupees (£1.30) to Pedley Street in the heart of Galle Fort where many if the restaurants, shops and galleries are found. However, despite all the good points mentioned above, the best feature of this hotel is the management and staff who can't do enough to make your stay the best it can be.

An unusual property with beautiful gardens. Our room was huge. We are are family of 4 and there were 2 floors for us. Wonderful. Kanagaraja looked after us well. Very helpful. A generous breakfast and strong coffee- marvellous! We walked to Galle Fort- roads aren’t so easy to walk on in Sri Lanka but tuk tuks are easy to pick up, cheap and quick. And fun!

We stayed here for two nights in February. Its not really a hotel in the conventional sense more a shared villa. There is always a staff presence on-site but English is limited at times. We booked a suite and the room was vast and split over two floors and was clean although lacked sufficient lighting. All in all it was a very nice room. The hotel itself doesn't really have any services or facilities so it made booking onward travel a little tricky but we still managed it. Its location is outside of Galle itself so you really need to get a tuk tuk although they are cheap (about £2 - £3 to Galle Fort) and everywhere. All in all its a decent option for those who don't want to pay the premium for staying in the fort area. We paid about £50 a night which was just about OK as Galle does seem to be more expensive than other Sri Lankan cities.

This place was a classy 11/10 type of stay! Amazing place run by wonderfully helpful people. The Villa and rooms are immaculately kept and the breakfast was delicious. These guys were eager to please and super helpful with arranging tuks for us and giving us the low down of the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The villa and its ground was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. However the villa is near a mosque which had regular broadcast to prayer from as early as 4.30 am in the morning!

From the moment we entered Villa White Queen our every need was attended to. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, and shown to our lovely private room. The place had a great air-conditioning system, the bathroom was big, with a hot shower and plenty of room to get ready in the morning. The bedroom was spacious with a nice bed and great television viewing options. There were ample electrical sockets for us to charge all our electronics, it was perfect. Despite all these good features, the best thing about the place is the Host. He is very kind and really goes out of his way to make sure all your needs are accommodated. He even ran two beach towels all the way to us at the train station after we accidentally left them on the balcony, after we had checked out. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and if I return to Galle would 100% stay here again!

We had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. The villa is beautiful and the room clean and comfortable. It's has so much potential to be a little bit more though. We had doors out into the garden from our room, but there was nowhere for us to sit out. Just a little suggestion. Owner was there during our stay and was very helpful with tips etc. Even drove us out to Jungle Beach. Very kind and attentive staff too.

We had an amazing time at Villa White Queen. It is the most stunning building, beautifully designed. Our room was spacious, beautiful, tastefully furnished with a lovely view of the garden. The hospitality was unbelievable. Our room and the bathroom was decorated with fresh temple flowers everyday. We got pots of tea and complimentary water, the breakfast was great. An oasis of calm in a bustling city. Very easy to get to the main attractions of Galle Fort - either by a 10 minute tuktuk ride or a 20 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
