This is the best B&B I have ever stayed at! The room is spacious and super clean.The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Chad offered some awesome recommendations for renting bicycles and getting around the lake to see the sights. Linda cooked an amazing breakfast for us each morning. I highly recommend Sun Moon Lake 5Boat B&B to those visiting日月潭! Best accomodations I've experienced so far in Taiwan.

We love Sun Moon Lake 5Boat B&B. My two grand kids love the Lego room and the dinosaur room. The location is perfect. I would stay here again when we come back.

Nice place. Stayed for three nights. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They also offer vouchers for shuttle boat rides and bike rides around the lake. The location though may be a bit “remote” for some people. And the only downfall is the tap water. The water flow is just TOO small. Other than that, it is an affordable and really lovely place to stay in!

Kids loved the LEGO room! Loved the bricks! Room is cozy, huge and spacious. Premises’ interior decor is very nice. Walking distance to 7-11 and eateries.

After staying in both the Lego room and Dinosaur room, I would say the rooms and the bathrooms here are very spacious by Taiwan standards, which is a great feature for families travelling with young children and infants. The pillows were a bit soft for my wife and 2 kids. The rooms are showing some minor signs of wear and tear due to perhaps rough usage from previous guests, but they don't detract from the fun for the kids. The family rooms are full of both major and minor features to cleverly tie into the room theme. Meanwhile the rest of the B&B is full of ornaments, decorations and items from the worldly and local travels of the couple who own the B&B. I would not say their price is cheap, but is reasonable given the things in the room to amuse the children and the facilities provided at the B&B. We made use of their kitchen to make simple microwave meals (although the water pressure was a bit low in the kitchen sink), and also used their clothes washing service. Take note if you're a family or person who likes to stay up late or wake up early that you will need control noise levels after 9pm and before 9am out of consideration to other rooms and the adjacent neighbours of the B&B. Also, it seemed to us that vehicles using the road in front of the B&B would often be speeding, and it could be scary walking that 1km into the town center with your child and a lorry is speeding past you at what seems to be 60-70kmph. But overall, very happy with the stay. 8.5/10

Its a nice hotel with very inspirative design, super friendly owner with good response on any questions/technical issues on electronics stuffs (the room has a lot of swithces), location is quite a distant from the shuishe pier (15 mins walk)

We stayed in Lego and dinosaurs room. Great spacious room with toys and story book to satisfy my 4 and 6 years old kid. Child friendly with small items provided by owner like baby shampoo and shower. Many paintings from owner in common area as well.

The bed is super comfy and the room is spacious. Love the decoration. Hotel staff is so caring and provided us bananas before the Marathon.

Everything was great, just except one thing that was actually not about the performance of the hotel, but the breakfast place which we were given a voucher to have breakfast. The breakfast was poorly done (everything was cold including the tea) and the service was also not good.

We stayed for 1 night in Dec. 2017. My son loves this place. Very friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick, we had a large clean room with a nice bathroom, and the common areas were well stocked with free coffee and cookies. Because we stayed two nights, they also offered a free laundry service. We also liked the funky designs. Highly recommended!

The walking distance from drop-off point to BnB is abit far, about 15mins walk. Must prepare mosquitoe repellent esp in the night.

We stay in the room with our two children. Inside the room has a merry go around horse and some toys. The overall setting is very good for a family with children. They were prepared with owner's design and patience. The view from window is nice lake view. We had a very memorable stay. Double thumb up! Highly recommend!
