Staff clearly not up to task and could get room cleaned

Perfect overnight stop, but it's off a busy and complicated junction. You need to keep your wits about you!

Perfect location for onward travel to southwest Brittany. Situated next to a well appointed retail park with supermarket and a C&A store, B&M bargains and the usual array of eateries. Staff really helpful and pleasant.

We stopped in Caen on our way to the ferry - wanted to do some shopping at Mondeville. Excellent location - just on the site of the shopping park, plenty of parking, room a bit bigger than usual ibis Budget - and VERY clean!

Functional rather than comfort. Modern clean and utilitarian

Ibis Budget is exactly what is claim to be. It’s cheap and easy to check in. Constructed, as per its class, in very economical form; everything is functional. This hotel is now beginning to show its age - wear and tear is obvious. It was clean enough and seemed to be COVID safe. The internet was really slow. Typical of this region, hotels and chain restaurants are grouped together on the fridges of the city - another such precinct exists near Caen-Memorial. I would (and did) try other budget options on successive nights and found them to be superior, at an equivalent price.

Convenient location surrounded by retail park. We stayed to break up a long drive between Brussels and Mont St.Michel. The two person lift stopped working on the morning that we left but it wasn't a problem as there are only two upper floors in the hotel.

They were overbooked we couldnt stay at night and had to sleep in our car!! Awful experience

Handy overnight stop

Very clean and comfortable albeit a bit basic. Breakfast wasn’t that great but within a 10 minute walk there are a number of restaurants, a McDonalds and a huge Supermarket. The lady on the desk was very helpful but not there all the time. Taxis from there to anywhere are extortionate - particularly on a weekend. Taxis had 10€ on the clock when they pick you up. Cost me 40€ for a 7 mile (10 minute) journey.

The hotel is in a shopping complex just off a main road, lots of shops and restaurants with in walking distance, The room was very clean and comfortable staff friendly.wifi was good in our room. The only down side is someone should go around and oil some of the door hinges as some of the doors on our floor were very squeaky.

Very basic but clean could hear next door snoring and walking about above.

No complaints, it is what it is an excellent budget hotel

Handy location from the ferry. The room was small worst part was the bed was so uncomfortable and the bedding had a sour smell. Also the third bed was not made up on arrival and we had to do it ourselves at 11pm. Would not return on that basis

Functional adequate overnight stay with a good choice of restaurants nearby.

The pillow was flat, the show head was on a pivot device that was lose and wouldn't stay where I put it making It difficult to keep the stream of water on me. Had to open the window beaches of no A/C but the neighbors had kids and talked and laushed most of the night making it difficult the sleep. Plugged in two I phones and the fuse blew out. The bed was fine and comfortable and it was cheep.

Great bed, clean and quiet. Close from the highway but still quiet. The perfect spot for stopping on our road-trip. Very decent breakfast.
