Very comfortable no-frills, little hotel to stay at. I was there for 8 nights. It was very quiet, and away from the busy/congested areas of Tokyo. But it was within a 3-7 minute walk to 3 subway stations and lots of restaurants very nearby. Room was very small, which was expected, but very functional and comfortable. Full (double) size bed, sheets, duvet and a firm pillow were provided. There was AC, which was a lifesaver! Tiny but functional bathroom. If you are over 6ft tall, you may find the room/bathroom to be a bit cramped. Room cleaning provided every 3 days or upon request by placing a sign outside your door. The sliding door opens up to a balcony which doubles as a fire escape (balcony is shared between a couole adjoining rooms). Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the service is professional and very unobtrusive. Perfect for introverts and people who want a quieter reprieve from the busy-ness of Tokyo. It was very affordable compared to hotels in other more popular areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya, but still very accessible to these areas if/when you fancy them. Highly recommended!

The staff were helpful and you could rent (for example) a hair straightener for free! It was quiet and there are two stations nearby. Check-out is very easy and the check-in window is so wide that I made it even after my flights were changed and I arrived 5h later than planned.

Very conveniently located with access to multiple subway line and a short 7 min walk to Narita limousine bus. Room is well designed but super small. Staff try their best to make customer experience better. Breakfast room is next to reception desk and rather exposed. I skipped complimentary breakfast for that reason. Good hotel for one night stay on the way to Narita which I did. Not comfortable for a long stay. Definitely safe area as it is next to prime minister’s public residence

A couple of years ago I stayed at a hotel in Paris where you could put the towel down from one wall of the bathroom and it'd already be in the shower. I didn't expect I'd find a smaller hotel room, but then I hadn't expected back then I'd be in central Tokyo. Booked a room here since the location was very convenient for my office location at Sanno Park Tower. Room (#201) very compact. I think with 2 people, after storing luggage there would be little room left to move. If i pushed the chair even slightly back from the desk area, it'd hit the bed. I don't think there's much English signage at the front door, so I spent a few minutes looking for it in the evening when I arrived. The English of the front desk staff varied, but they all tried to help with directions & information as much as they could. The daily cleaning was thorough. The indoor breakfast area would be challenged for space if half a dozen people came down at the same time, but I was quite satisfied with the breakfast items available over the 3 days I stayed there.

Very clean. Convenient location. Near metro station and lots of restaurants nearby. Easy to get to Shibuya or Shinjuku via metro. Quiet. You can get a good night sleep.

I liked this hotel. I needed to be near the Capitol Hotel and this was a much more affordable option. My room was fairly small: tall people might have found it cramped (even the door was shorter than normal), and two people would have been crowded, but the bed was fairly large for one. But I found it a nice place to set up base camp. Lots of attention to detail, desk by a window, incredibly clean bathroom (with a small but deep tub and toilet with fancy Japanese heated toilet seats). (Somewhat hard pillows though.) Wifi was OK, but note that outlets won't take three-prong grounded plugs. Front desk had enough English that we could cope with me not knowing any Japanese. Close to 2 metro lines, near a shrine, and two blocks from a neighborhood with lots of restaurants (including a clump of Chinese restaurants). It wasn't active like Shibuya, but it was pleasant and not too crowded (and only 6 stops away from Shibuya).

We stayed here two nights while visiting Tokyo for a weekend. Very convenient location to subway. Room was a little small for two people but is perfect for one traveler. I'm 6'3" and the bathroom roof was lower than that. Internet, WiFi, TV, HVAC, and everything in room worked great. Excellent breakfast and service from the staff.

Akasaka Urban Hotel is a small-ish business hotel, but compared to several other business hotels where I have stayed in Tokyo before, this one was impeccably clean and the room layout is not conventional - meaning the room is more spacious! I did not opt for breakfast in the property, but they had a 24x7 free coffee for guests that was a nice touch! Access: very convenient to walk from Kokkaigijidomae Station, Tameikesannou Station, Akasaka Station (all within 5-8 min.). Couple of convenience stores - 7 Eleven, Daily Yamazaki and supermarket are all within 2-5 min. walking distance. Plenty of restaurants to choose from: Yoshinoya, plenty of Japanese (of course!), Korean, Italian, Thai & Indian restaurants. From Narita Airport, the best way to access is to board the Limousine Bus headed for Akasaka, Roppongi Area and get off at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, and then walk to the property (about 5 min.). Overall excellent stay, I look forward to my stay here again.
