We received a very warm welcome. Room was great, bed super comfortable and they even baked us fresh muffins to take with us because we were leaving before breakfast. Highly recommend :)

Howie & Karen were tremendous hosts and made my family and I feel extremely welcomed! They were even super cool with accomadating last minute changes to my booking. My two boys had a blast and they were surprised with an amazing breakfast the morning after! We enjoyed our time so much that we’re planning to re-book for next year around the same time! Great room, great host. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and bed was comfy.

The room was so very comfortable. All the amenities we needed were provided; a microwave, toaster, kettle, small fridge... and our host was so welcoming! The location is beautiful, quiet, and close to the Butchart Gardens. There's lovely dogs on the property if you want to meet them (which we of course did!); we are sorry that we only had one night in our schedule to stay.

We had the most amazing stay! It felt super welcoming & cozy. All amenities were available & the place was extraordinarily welll kept & clean.

Karey is a very personable host and if you are a dog lover she has 3 well mannered standard poodles; Wally, Tigre and Molly. If you like, Karey will call them into your room one at a time to meet you. The bed was comfortable, you have your choice of 3 breakfast items and ours was delicious. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, however , we plan to return to explore the surrounding beaches and walks.

The property was excellent, probably the best we have ever had the privilege to enjoy. The owners were detailed, thoughtful, and great communicators. The breakfast was delicious. An outstanding property.

This was a beautiful BnB with friendly staff and the most delicious breakfast. They even ran me to the airport following my stay!

Incredible host! The property is beautiful and we got to stay in the suite, which is huge and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and even catered to special dietary needs. We look forward to returning in the future.

Hi, We spent only one night here and I wish we had more time.Karen is a wonderful person. I found her super kind and nice. Her place is clean, beautiful and tranquil and there you will find whatever you need to have a great vacation in Victoria. She also made us a special breakfast which was super delicious and tasty. I highly recommend this place. I would like to express my gratitude to Karen for her kindness and the quality service she provided to us.

Nice and close to the airport. Wonderful breakfast. Owner is very caring and gives a lot of attention to details. Bed very comfortable. Nice rocky beach 5 minute walk from the cottage with seals close by.

Friendly host and great breakfast!

Hosts were incredibly friendly, warm and receptive. Their dogs (hypoallergic poodles) were the cutest to play with and well-behaved. The room itself (Library Room) is cozy and rustic with more than enough things we needed. Some items like toothpaste are lacking but I'm sure that if you ask the hosts, you'll be able to get one anyway. Overall, the experience was incredible and I would recommend this place to everyone! Just note that the location is rather detached from most places and it gets pretty dark at night, so it'll be best to rent out a car if you're staying!

We had the most amazing time at Coles Bay Vacation Retreat! They are the most lovely couple who care so much about their guests experience. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning on a late flight and they were so accommodating, meeting us on the driveway to give us a tour of our place. They were also up in the morning preparing the most delicious breakfast of our choosing from a wonderful selection of menu items. They even catered to my gluten free needs! It was a quiet comfortable stay and was only a 6 minute drive from the airport!

Absolutely wonderful in every way! The delightful hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

Very nice greeting and introductio shared upon arrival. DELICIOUS breakfast as selected delivered to suite a time I selected. Comphy bed and living area. Great overnight experiance near air port, ferries and Buchart. Regards Tony

Property is a bit dated. Needs some freshening up specially the bathrooms

Very hospitable owner. Went our of her way to make us feel comfortable. We had to leave early and would have had to miss the breakfast, but she made us up an excellent "meal in a bag" to take with us. Great place!!
