Lovely staff, beautiful room ideal location. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back sometime!

Lovely place to stay.

It's hard to say exactly what stood out as everything was amazing including the staff, the accommodations themselves and the services offered. We were helped with early breakfasts, spa services and understanding how to call an early taxi to get us to the airport. A truly beautiful place to stay as well; unique and the interior of the room we stayed in was quaint and perfect for our needs.

The only issue we had was finding the place. Once we found it the door was locked at 4:00. Didnt know i needed to ring the bell. It is a lovely old building and breakfast was lovely. We only had one night was it was during a storm. Would have loved to have enjoyed the spa.

The Alamo Guest House offers ten rooms. It is small and that is its strength. The rooms are clean. The staff is extremely helpful. An excellent choice of cold and hot plates is offered for breakfast. There are a good choice of different restaurants near the Alamo. I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved my stay here. It’s close to everything, but far enough away to be peaceful. The hotel is charming and the staff was very friendly!

Room had a very nice private bath - but it was not in the room. The bath was a few steps away, convenient but a bit odd.

The bed is terrible and too expensive for what you offer

The excellent comfort of this guest house enhanced our stay in Glasgow. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the choices were extensive. The only thing I would change is to book a room with ensuite next time. It was only a short walk to the bathroom however the sink in our room did a gurgling sound for about 10 mins after being used. Not great when you are trying to get off to sleep 😪

A beautiful building and stunning room. Came in December and it felt very festive. Fantastic decor and original features. Couldn’t believe how close we were to everything.

Excellent stay

When first booked I did not check the detail adequately enough and was allocated a room with a separate bathroom across the hall (Shetland). Prior to arrival I paid for an upgrade to an en-suite room allocated by the hotel (Jura). Jura was nicely furnished but small and the en-suite was also small. There was no hot water at all on the last morning of departure and our schedule did not allow us to wait. Just before breakfast, after a cold shower, bathrooms with an electric shower was offered. The bedding and the breakfast was excellent. The on street parking is a bit of a hassle and paid for as an extra if necessary.

This is a very intimate and beautiful hotel in Glasgow. It has an historic feel and staff were wonderful. A special thanks to Jennifer for her help with luggage and booking taxi services and advice on restaurants.

Fantastic little property. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. The breakfast was superb. The location is perfect to walk to the university and many little dining options.

It was so relaxing to arrive after a very long journey, and be made so welcome. The room was immaculate, beautifully arranged and scrupulously clean. En suite facilities were impeccable. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in 50 years of hotel use. Jennifer could not have been more polite, attentive and professional. Thank you for a terrific stay. We will be back!!
