Hotel and staff FANTASTIC!! But it is impossible to speak to a real person with hotels.com. I booked a wrong date in error so tried to get this changed. First of all i had to get past the chat bots then chat to a person (maybe) and was told the offline team would contact the hotel to change it. I was told then in an email I couldn’t have a refund but I never asked for one. I chatted to the bots again and was told the same re the offline team then I had an email to say the team couldn’t contact the hotel after several attempts. Apparently I couldn’t speak to the hotel myself it had to go through hotel.com. Arrgghh. What happened to good old fashioned telephone conversations with a REAL person. So, hotel staff amazing room lovely hotel great but failure to get my booking date changed a fiasco due to computer bots…..beware of digital ID it is just the start………

Quaint place, more of a pub with rooms. No food despite breakfast being shown as available on the room information folder. Good bar well stocked with a range of drinks available. Decent room, clean tidy and well serviced. We slept very well, comfy bed and good duvet and pillows. When we left no staff to pay my bill to. Had to find a cleaner who rang somebody for details and then took a card payment. Overall good value for money. 😄👍

Very basic. But served us a purpose as a cheap bed for the night. No issues. Nice area.

Rooms were comfortable and location of hotel excellent as close to Forest of Dean. No breakfast available and have to walk to the adjacent hotel, the Belfry, for breakfast. The breakfast there was extortionate.. I paid £30 for a bowl of cereal, scrambled eggs on toast, a side of toast and coffee! Day light robbery! The Littledean itself is basic. Rooms are comfortable but the whole hotel is very tired looking and desperately needs a face lift. Staff were friendly.

I have no clue how this place score average of 8,4 It is in complete disrepair at the front. The reception is dark dingy and smells like old men’s boots and it filthy The room had a stink to it that was semi fixed with half a can of deodorant and windows open while we went to the belfry for something to eat Beds awful creeky with visible disrepair and either rock hard or very soft. Not soft in a nice way but soft like need replacing Overall not a pleasant experience

Rooms are rough and ready, though clean. The property is often locked and unattended. No food other than tea and coffees in rhe room - some kind of breakfast would have been nice. My room needed some work but this is to be expected in a very old building.

Lovely little place in a small single room with a semi comfy bed with small en suite. Room above the restaurant so I didn’t hear any noise from the pub at any point. Girl who checked me in was lovely.

The hotel sits back from a very busy road and room 3 faced this road . So with windows open a very noisy room. The whole outside wall is damp with bubbling plaster work. Some lights in the room not working . Definitely needs some attention. Needs bedside tables and mugs or saucers . What was most concerning apart from the spores on areas of the interior wall was this which really should have been communicated upon booking is no food available apart from a pop up barbecue in the evening but no ability to get breakfast . Told to walk up the road to another pub as a “walk in “ due to there chef being on maternity leave . I’m a disabled lady so not able to simply walk up the road .Having paid £115.00 for room only being in a very damp noisy room is not value for money .
