had a great stay at the Sand Hotel in Iceland, and one of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. It was excellent—fresh, healthy, and thoughtfully prepared. There was a wide variety of options, and everything felt high-quality. One standout detail was the ginger shots, which were such a refreshing and energizing touch. It’s not something you see everywhere, and it really elevated the whole experience.
Parking, however, is a bit more complicated. Since the hotel is located in the city, there’s no dedicated parking lot, so you’ll need to rely on street parking. The area is divided into zones labeled P1 to P3, and parking is paid by the hour. It can take a little time to find a spot, and you’ll need to keep track of the parking rules, but that’s fairly typical for a central city location.
Overall, the breakfast alone makes a strong impression, and while parking requires some planning, it doesn’t take away from an otherwise excellent stay.
