Mixed Experience at Riad Sun of Kech Our family stayed at Riad Sun of Kech for six nights, and overall, our experience was a mix of positives and negatives. Positives: The breakfast was enjoyable and well-prepared. Housekeeping services were consistent and reliable. Rashid at the front desk provided excellent service—professional, helpful, and courteous. Negatives: The Riad is located about a 10-minute walk from the nearest taxi drop-off point. This can feel unsafe, especially if you're returning after 10 PM. The hotel-arranged taxi service is significantly overpriced—nearly four times the normal rate. We recommend arranging your own transportation instead. The in-house food is also expensive, nearly double the price of nearby options with better quality. Be cautious of Hamza, who comes across as pushy and tries to upsell services at high prices. Despite the listing stating that card payments are accepted, the hotel adds a 10% surcharge on all services—including taxis—if you pay by card. Even with the hotel-arranged taxi, you're still required to walk to the taxi point, making the added cost unjustifiable. While breakfast is advertised on the rooftop, we only experienced it there twice in six days. The rest of the time it was served on the dimly lit ground floor with wobbly tables and chairs. Overall, while there were some highlights, we would not recommend Riad Sun of Kech to other travelers.

The staff at Riad Sun of Kech were so warm, welcoming and friendly - a true credit to the Riad and one of the best things about our stay. The Riad is quaint and pretty, just outside the main part of the old city with the markets etc, making it nice and quiet. There is a lovely rooftop terrace to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. This was a perfect and well-priced stay.

The Riad is very far and very difficult to reach from the main square Jema El Efna. Taxis don’t go close to it they will drop guests 5-10mins walk from the riad. The Riad is in a scary quiet road which only local people could show us. The cleanliness is poor (not dirty but just about clean). The food is amazing. It’s very hot inside the Riad reception. They propose you 20EUR to use their tour guide the next day, it’s ok compared to other prices. The breakfast is not very nice it’s just some sweet items. Not buffet. The hosts were nice people but in afraid for what we pay we want quality which the photos showed us. The place is not matching to the photos on the website unfortunately. It’s noisy at night the rooms have thin walls we got woken up few times at night

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We appreciate the hospitality and warm welcome, how kind you were to our son and how at home we felt. The food in the Riad is very tasty, one of the better options we tried during the week. We liked the area the Riad is in, as it’s a bit calmer and more local, but still not a long stroll from the market and other sights. We hope to come back again soon 🙂
