I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were very nice and welcoming, and the room itself was clean and spacious. Parking was a bit of a challenge, as it was difficult to find a space nearby. The room was also very hot, and without air conditioning it was hard to cool it down, especially at night. The property could benefit from some renovations or updates, but despite these issues, the price–quality ratio was good and the experience was generally positive.

We loved our stay, large room, great location, private parking, large victorian property, ideally located, close to amenities, and leas cliff, away from the hustle and bustle, pet friendly, very decent so what we paid, had city view, nice and cool avoiding direct sunlight, owners only a phone call away, no hassle, been here b4, love the family rooms. Excellent base for holiday, beach short drive, as the shoreline i below leas cliff. Great water pressure in 🚿

I arrived and the lady over there told me they changed my room I don’t know why I’m coming with a 11 month old baby and my sister we slept in a small double bed with this heath. RIDICULOUS. I spoke to the manager mentioned what the lady told me and he act like nothing happened I felt useless. There’s no lift there, of course it’s lift there but they used it to keep their stuff?? I give one star because of the sea view from the premium double bedroom otherwise I will give half star. Obviously I’m not coming back here, waste of money!!!!!!!

A good hotel with very helpful staff. Great location for the channel tunnel. Left us a take away breakfast because we were leaving before breakfast was served. Only downside was no lift but overall a good hotel

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but good selection and plenty of. Stayed in premium double room, which was clean but nothing was premium unfortunately. Flat pillows need throwing, bed you can feel the springs, furniture handles falling off when opening draws, shower towel rails broken, shower had no pressure just trickling out and running down the head. Furniture needs updating or fixing.

Lovely hotel, large room and really friendly check in. The bed was hideously uncomfortable though, an old, thin mattress that had two dents where people had slept over the years. You could feel every spring. Thin walls with a dog barking all night in the room next door. We didn’t sleep at all. Shame as it is lovely but not what we needed as a stop over before the trip in the tunnel the next day

The room was incredibly spacious, even for a family of four, it had ample room. The room was absolutely spotless and had an incredible view of the sea. There was a warm welcome and all details were given and we were able to park immediately out the front for a £6 charge, which was all efficiently taken care of. Considering the cost too, this far exceeded our expectations and was conveniently 10 minutes away from the Eurotunnel ahead of our morning trip. If there was a downside, it was that one of the beds was very squeaky! Easily fixable I am sure though. I would recommend based on the room we stayed in, definitely. There was also a chocolate on each bed, fresh towels and bottles of water, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. The heating fired up very quickly and was even too warm at one stage - that was on us though!

Clean room, but all a bit tired. Unfortunately, it was a very wet and windy night, and the sash window in our room wasn't closed properly. It took quite an effort to close it and it still rattled all night. Deapite that, we had a good night's sleep. rattled

Warm welcome from staff. Hotel dated. Beds creaky and need to be replaced. We had family room and woke each other up all night due to beds creaking when moving. Small bathroom en-suite was clean but pokey. Didn’t have breakfast. I’d stay again at a push but would rather pay slightly more for the comfort of a premier inn

Room was very clean and a great view of the sea. Large room for five and worth it for an overnight stay for an early tunnel crossing.

The hotel was excellent, especially considering the very reasonable price we paid. Although an old building, it was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. We also had a room with a sea view, and the hotel was 2 minutes walk from the lovely promenade. The lady that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is also very convenient for the Channel Tunnel. Highly recommend.
