I had a very disappointing stay at Kimpton La Peer, especially considering the price point and brand reputation. I had a great experience at their Paris location but definitely not here. First, the pre check-in experience was underwhelming. When I arrived around 2:30pm or so, I was assisted by Emanuel, who pointed out that many other 11 groups of guests had already checked in through a priority rewards program. He said he’d notify me when my room was ready—but I never received any notification. I returned around the standard 4 PM check-in time and was finally given a room, but the tone of the interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Things got worse from there. My room faced the courtyard, where the hotel was hosting a private event with loud music and cheering. I had just landed from a long flight and was hoping to rest around 5 PM, but the noise made it impossible to nap. Staff said the event would end by 10 PM, but the music continued well past that, closer to 11 PM. When I raised the issue, the front desk said the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t move me. There was zero accountability and no proactive solution offered. The soundproofing in the rooms is awful, especially for a hotel at this price point. I think our room looked ready to be refurbished--almost- bare spots and some cuts in carpeted area. What most caught my eye was that there was no type of armchair in the room! When I called to ask for a chair, I very promptly received what what clearly a chair used for banquets/events. I haven't seen a hotel room--from a Holiday Inn Express to the Four Seasons Wailea--without a chair. --The window shades were great for darkening the room, but getting one of them to stay in its track was difficult. The bottom of it was a bit mangled and had black stains on it. The sheer curtains had some mold or rust stains on them. The towels were very thin. -- Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, service was great, and all personnel were friendly.

Not enough housekeeping to meet the 4pm check-in. Offered drinks but given the advanced notice of a fully booked hotel, they should have brought in more staff. Forgetful staff and cold shower added to less than a best experience. Nice location to weho and the facility is nice.

Sarah is the best! Restaurant served a perfect avocado toast with freshly squeezed juices and the bed was fabulous! Walkable to a multi-level mall with many options!

Service is decent but the hotel itself apart from the lobby was terrible. Nothing special. Room had a few cabinets open, came with shower curtains, patio only had one chair and no view at all.

I spoke with management while there, but the service was a nightmare. We have loved this hotel in the past and for my bday so I booked the penthouse, expecting a wonderful luxurious experience…. The room was so dirty. The coffee machine was empty, no cups, smelly /stale air.. they wouldn’t let me have an extra blanket and the room service NEVER answered . We had to go down and order the food and they said they didn’t have the time to drop off at our room…. In the morning we ordered to go breakfast (a BAGEL) and waited 45 mins in the lobby waiting area for it- it was not busy. The service and housekeeping has fallen drastically. Big disappointment.
