Classic hotel

There were no tea bags in the room and when we asked the hotel to provide they wanted to charge us for this. Providing tea and coffee in the rooms is basic for every hotel and it was quite shocking that the hotel did not want to provide tea bags. They must realise that everyone doesn’t drink coffee and some people would like to have tea in their rooms.

Quiet, upscale, clean and helpful staff.

Great hotel, friendly staff and an overall fantastic experience!

We had a lovely stay in the Hotel Melchior Park, Würzburg. It’s a little way out of the historic centre but right on a good bus route (very cheap and direct service to the centre). Hotel was immaculately clean, very quiet and all the staff we met were very friendly and efficient. Our room had a full balcony and overlooked the ‘natural’ outdoor pool. We’d definitely stay here again if we went back to Wurzburg.

Hotel is fantastic. Could absolutely see myself staying there in the future due to the saunas and pool area. Did not try the restaurant, so can’t rate it here in this review.

The sauna in our room was outstanding

The hotel is really nice with underground and off street parking options for extra fee. The junior suite is excellent and we enjoyed the gym and wellness facilities. The dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was amazing. Highly recommended. On check-out we noticed that we had been charged with breakfast we did not asked for and we had been also charged for decoration in the room we did not know about. These extra charges were refunded upon mentioning them.

It’s in the middle of a park and the facility is beautiful.

The room was supposed to be air-conditioned. According to the thermostat adjustable to 18 degrees c. Our room stayed at 24 degrees Celsius even after speaking with the person at the front desk. Apon arrival we were ask to wait as the room was not ready and we were 40 minutes early. The blond receptionist was somewhat rude and ask that we wait,which we did in the waiting area beside the receptiondesk. After 55 minutes and the entire team having seen us the entire time we again went to the desk and ask about the room. The room was then ready and therefore we werre late for a birthday party. The large of the guests fir this party was book at the hotel and the guest so honor was well known by the staff as they are preferred guests at the hotel. The staff also knew that we were part of this avent. Onecstaff member did offer us a gratuitous coffee for which there was no time. The nice young man at checkout was infirmed and did comp the 14 € for parking.

Great stop on our way up north. Fantastic food and facilities.

A great base to explore the city

Das Personal war fantastisch. Alle sehr zuvorkommend. Mein Zimmer war sauber, hell, freundlich und bequem. Der Pool- und Saunabereich war war klasse.

Charge for breakfast too expensive.

The property is a bit far from downtown where most restaurants and night life exist.

Modern property with easy parking and amazing breakfast offering.

The hotel presents an image to the World that is not supported in real life. We felt disappointed.

What a nice place. And in a great area. Really tasty breakfast at a good price too. Friendly, professional staff.

Fantastic pool - clean and relaxing with a lovely small patio area that gets the sun. Staff were friendly. Fabulous bar area. Easy parking underground.

We had a wonderful checking thanks to Lena, who speaks perfect American English, she gave us valuable tips for our visit to Würzburg and even made for us a dinner reservation at the Alte Mainmuhle restaurant, thank you Lena! Everything felt like new, the room was spacious and well apointed, parking was on site (12 euro), the fitness room and spa were very attractive, wifi strong, good shower. The only negative thing I can think of is the room was to warm even with the thermostat at its coolest setting.
