The room was spacious and well decorated. We had beautiful views over Oban and the Isles. Easy safe parking. Very convenient location to business centre and ferry terminal. Quiet and safe. Would recommend.

This place needs an overhaul. I rented three rooms here. One had beds likely from the 70's, incredibly uncomfortable. A shower that dripped constantly, we had to lay the sprayer down in the tub to be able to sleep. The hot water in two of the rooms never got hot. We waited for 30 minutes and took cold showers. And I am not one of those people that didn't just adjust the valve right or something. These were legitimately cold. One of the rooms had a paper thin mattress pad, that helped slightly. Worst beds I've ever slept on. It was at the end of the walkable street and quiet enough. Lots of dining down the street about .5 miles. We weren't going to risk the restaurant after reading other reviews.

This quirky hotel is a gem in Oban. Very comfortable room once we learned how to work shower and heaters. The room was a good size with king bed. Breakfast was hearty and the coffee and brown bread were delicious. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants - we had a friend with a mobility scooter and no troubles in the hotel or town. Really nice place to come visit. Stephanie at front desk super helpful!

Breakfast was excellent, variety of foods hot and everything we could have wanted. Cereals and yoghurt with fresh fruit delicious. Unlimited tea and coffee with wide selection of fruit tea packets. Overall very healthy.

Excellent position slightly away from the main centre, but easily walkable. Parking available behind the hotel. Good buffet breakfast. Staff very welcoming and informative.

Duvet was too small. It barely covered the twin beds pushed together plus it was too light. A summer quilt instead of a heavier winter one for this time of year.

Minimal information in the room about the hotel, no menus for dinner etc. Swimming pool exceedingly cold.

Clean and fresh. Staff accommodating, polite and helpful New windows very draughty and room cold for several hours after arrival. Plumbing suspect as shower only worked intermittently and cold water tap faulty. Location ok and lovely sea views

We had a lovely clean room with sea view. Bed was huge and so comfy. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and very generous portions. Staff were all excellent, helpful, friendly and courteous. Couldnt do enough for us. Pool was lovely and clean although could perhaps do with being a couple of degrees warmer. We loved our stay here and will definately stay again.

Breakfast was fresh, Limited choice in the bar but what was there was very nice. Dinner was average (buffet). Water temperature in pool could have been much warmer. However, overall, very pleasant and good value for money.

Courteous staff, good breakfast

We were unable to travel to this hotel due to Tropical storm Amy closing down all roads and trains. I contacted the hotel to see if there was any refund for our rooms as this was through no fault of ours. This was the ONLY hotel throughout our entire 3 week stay that was unwilling to refund even a portion of our money. Even though we know that there were guest stranded there as well and using those rooms. Luckily our hotel in Glasgow worked with us and many, many others to help with this unfortunate situation. I will highly recommend all of the other 6 hotels we stayed at and tell everyone to steer clear of Muthu Alexandra Hotel.
