Words truly cannot describe how much I loved our stay at Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor in Chania. It’s the perfect place to stay right in the heart of Old Town, surrounded by charming shops and incredible food. Our room was spotless and beautifully designed, featuring a cozy bathtub and a lovely private outdoor area with a hot tub, such a relaxing touch. What truly made our experience unforgettable though, were the two concierges, Maria and Vaggelis. They were the most accommodating, kind, and genuinely sincere hotel staff I have ever encountered. Every time my husband and I came downstairs, one of them would greet us with a warm smile and friendly conversation. They recommended the best restaurants in town and made us feel instantly at home. We were only in Chania for three days, but I would have gladly stayed longer just because of them. Thank you, Maria and Vaggelis, for making our honeymoon as magical as it was. We can’t wait to return one day!

Everything about our stay was superb - the room, the service (morning breakfast & room cleaning) and especially the front desk personnel and their very personalized attention to our requests for information, advice and assistance. We would definitely stay at the Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor when visiting Chania again.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff Very lovely old building. Unfortunately sleek, minimal design lacked any kind of soft chair or furnishing in the room. The air conditioning was controlled at reception. User unfriendly. Despite requesting some warmth we froze. This was particularly bad our first night. The breakfast was good.

The hotel was in a great location walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Though small the hotel was well appointed with an indoor pool, spa services and a great restaurant that served an amazing breakfast. My personal favorite was the Cretan breakfast for 2, the yogurt is the creamiest I've ever had. The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. The best part of it all was the staff who went above and beyond providing recommendations and simply ensuring we had the absolute best stay. Huge shout out to Georgina and Maria who made our short time in Chania extra special.

Everything about this hotel was perfect

Excellent location, staff super helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy with twice a day room service. Only down side was TV didn't work for 4 days despite being brought to house keeping attention which minor but not a true 4 / 5 star service. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

There are not enough good things I can say about this property. It’s beautiful and the staff tend to your every need. Great location. Treat yourself to a stay here. The breakfast is so good, and the staff is so welcoming.

The property is very charming and the staff are lovely, super friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, unfortunately our room was above a busy street with bars and restaurants below and we stayed on Friday and Saturday night so be aware of this factor if you are a light sleeper. We loved the private plunge pool which you can book for an hour once per day during your stay. Its not heated but super refreshing after a hot day in Chania and you can warm up in the hot tub afterwards. The food was delicious, had amazing beef for dinner which was the nicest meal i had all week. Breakfast is also super tasty with pastries and eggs cooked to order from a la carte menu. We loved our visit to the Monastery Estate!

Helpful and friendly staff with nice rooms amazing breakfast and clean while taking care of property. Amazing location central yet quiet. No gym that I can recall and pool basically a small, indoor dipping area.

We loved everything about this hotel. From its unique design and history to its beautifully quiet and yet central location. We enjoyed the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and couldn’t fault the staff. From the housekeeping staff through to the receptionists and their welcome (also very helpful for our car hire pick up) through to the dining staff. We felt very fortunate to be able to start our Crete vacation here.

If you are visiting Chania, staying in old town is exactly where you want to be for easy access to everything, and being very walkable. Monestary Estate Venetian Harbor is just that, and is minutes from the harbor and incredible restaurants and shopping in old town. The hotel is modern, but is very cool to still see original architecture on display through protected glass casing. The front desk staff and dining staff are as friendly as you can get! Breakfast every morning was included with the freshest orange juice, would recommend getting the Cretan breakfast for two every time. Mones restaurant in general is great, get the lamb if you go! We stayed in the design suite with patio and hot tub and it was perfect for what we needed for our trip in Crete. The bed is comfortable. Using the private hot tub at night is perfect for the cool Crete evenings. They have a small pool area that you can reserve for an hour that also doubles as a massage area, which I partook in and was amazing. The location of the hotel is on a small alley, is very peaceful and I felt very safe here. My husband and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon during our time in Crete and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
