Great hotel, brilliant location, lovely staff. Breakfast was excellent too

Fabulous stay from start to finish. Room was spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. Staff were a pleasure, so polite and helpful. Car park was a bonus. Would not hesitate to return.

An absolute beauty! parking was a bit of an issue, however the room was great, beds were comfy and the restaurant and bar was fabulous with live music. we loved our stay.

We were made so welcome and reception carried our luggage to our room. There is a small car park at rear and you need to record your reg no in the hotel. Friday night's entertainment was an excellent group with amazing fiddler and drummer. Saturday and Sunday were different groups led by the same accordianist who was very good musically, however it was very tourist orientated and most tunes sounded similar. Bar/restaurant staff well managed and had an efficient system for ensuring customers were served quickly. Louise, Charlie, Shelby and Logan were particularly helpful. Another waiter/ manager (name forgotten) asked us if to move table which was no problem, however he insisted in offering a free drink. We had a lovely, nicely decorated, spacious, room overlooking Atholl Road. Some issues getting hot shower and with TV remote - staff helped. Breakfast was excellent and omelette on request. We ate dinner in restaurant twice and was delicious - cullen skink best my husband has tasted. Only negative was breakfast coffee machine - never hot enough and had to top it up with hot water.

Although the room was small, it was clean, extremely well maintained, traditional yet still modern and very comfortable. Some noise from the pub downstairs in the evenings but generally quiet from around 11pm. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Well maintained, friendly staff, great breakfast

Our room was next to a water noisy pump which kept us up late and woke us up multiple times in the night. The staff were unwilling to offer a late check out for those taking part in the Etape Caledonia which is the reason why we were there. Considering it's one of the biggest events in Pitlochery's calendar, we felt they were being inconsiderate and could have been more supportive to guests. The car park at the rear is very small. Plenty of guests were struggling to find parking. The rest of the hotel and facilities were perfectly adequate.

A busy lively hotel. We stayed for the etape Caledonia cycle. The hotel was very proactive and offered a takeaway breakfast and bicycle storage. Although the hotel had live music and a good atmosphere, our room was quiet and peaceful despite being directly above the bar. We had dinner in the bar and the venison burgers were delicious.The staff were very competent and friendly. Will definitely return to McKays!

Wonderful stay at McKays in the beautiful town of Pitlochry. Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helped make our stay enjoyable.

Very clean and comfortable bed, nice bathroom, we were in the dorma room and thought it would be very stuffy and cramped because we had such hot weather that day but it was lovely and cool I'd say it was well insulated.

Ok but don't agree with service charge.expensive for drinks 1 wine 2 pint Murphy's £20. Folk went elsewhere or brought their own.we have been here lots and favourite meal steak pie not steak and carrot pie thin gravy but tough meat.rooms are ok but our duvet cover had a huge tea/coffee stain hidden by a throw.

We were in the town house which wasn't ideal on the top floor for someone of my age 71

The room was lovely but no cleaner on our second day to empty bins or replenish teas and coffees etc. went out and bought my own. The restaurant staff were brilliant so efficient. The breakfast was good with enough choice for everyone. The only other problem was the room was on top floor which was not easy for my husband at 77 with a heart condition, apart from that we had a good stay

The bedroom was light, airy and large The bathroom and shower were very clean and tidy The decor was perhaps a little tired and dated but nothing to complain about, Downstairs in the bar and restaurant there was an excellent selection of food and drink The staff were very helpful with everything A lovely place to stay in Pitlochry.
