Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out. There are multiple lights and fairy lights all round so it’s well Illuminated and you can swap the lights at reception daily for fully charged ones. There is plenty of wood at the end of each Tree house to keep fires stocked. You’ll never run out. The views, the grounds are just so picturesque, the trails to walk on are well kept and whole area is amazing. The residents room at reception has a free coffee machine and lots of games you can take to your TH. Also multiple charging options in there. There is just so much to like about this place. Our family didn’t want to leave. This is amazing for families but would also be really romantic for couples to get away. Don’t take my word for it get it booked you won’t regret it. Ps the sauna is lovely too.

Lovely stay with plenty of room for our family of 6. Plentiful kitchen supplies. Fantastic walks on the doorstep. Hot tub was fun with the kids - top tip, pay a little extra to have it pre heated for your arrival so you can enjoy it that day.

Lovely stay in the tree lodge, would highly recommend! Can get pretty dark though so advise to take torches for walking and also in the lodge. Plenty of candles and tea lights provided by the venue though, and the complementary s’mores kit was great!

Fantastic, large yurt with a stove and outdoor toilet which was very good. The staff were excellent and so friendly, showers allocated to each group so we had our own! Logs were free and was able to have as much as we liked! Lovely countryside with walk to local pub with a fire... excellent value for money!

Lovely one night stay to get away from it all. It would have been nice to have some added luxuries, such as tea and milk and towels you didn’t need to rent.

Beautiful place with amazing surroundings, the staff were friendly and helpful and the yurts were clean and comfy. The only downside was the poir choice of children's food in the cafe.

Having spoken with one of the Swinton Team prior to our arrival and confirming we would arrive at around 1-2pm we found it a little odd that upon our arrival at the Swinton Bivouac Cafe a male member of staff said you can't go to your tree house until 3pm which in all honesty was fine by us as we had planned to have lunch in the cafe. In regards to the cafe We were impressed with the vegan and vegetarian options and the spiced pumpkin and gingerbread lattes (almond milk) were perfect. We took a little stroll around the cafe grounds and apart from a stack of large rubbish items near the play area directly on an adjoining field which were not very well concealed the views were impressive as was the small play area. The birds of prey area is small but neverthe less interesting to view. We all felt it would be a great place to host a party or event at. Having obtained or keys from the cafe we were given a map with instructions. The tree houses are two minutes away from the cafe and very close to the druids temple. Wow! When we arrived at the tree house we all fell in love! It's close to the other tree houses but far enough for privacy. You feel immediately like your nested away in a wooded area with nice views although our sweeping Valley view was thwarted by a long hedge row of trees,it didn't dampen our stay at all. The Welcome booklet provided was more than adequate and I would suggest you bring torches, wellies and large towels as only hand towels were provided. Will return.
