I can't believe the average rating is over 3 stars. This time, I stayed on a holiday and the 10,000 yen adult rate was a good deal, but I've found other ryokans at this price to be just as satisfying. First of all, I know it's not a hot spring, but there were strands of hair floating around. I know the building itself is old and it doesn't bother me, but even though I had booked a check-in time of 6:00 PM, they told me they can't serve dinner after 6:30 PM. The service at dinner was awful... I had the window open in the cold. The food got cold, and the staff were clearing other guests' plates, but they were making a lot of noise and seemed so busy I couldn't even ask for water. It was really cold and noisy, and the food didn't taste as good, and I couldn't even relax from my daily fatigue, which was a terrible result. I will definitely never stay here again. The staff were kind and helpful, but it seemed like they were working reluctantly. Maybe they couldn't leave unless they finished on time, but it was just too much. This time, it might be because of the difference in price, but even those who paid less had good reviews, so it might be because they were busy. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The only thing I noticed was that the staff were thoughtful during breakfast and seemed to take care in clearing away the dishes.

After reading the reviews, I was intrigued and decided to stay there. I brought my small children with me. They had the baseball board I'd heard about, and the kids played with it the whole time. You were allowed to take the boards back to your room. There were also things you don't usually see, like a putting green and a ping-pong table, so the kids had a lot of fun. The bath isn't a hot spring, but the tub was a little too hot for the kids to get in. The food was pretty reasonable for the price. It would have been better if we had ordered a better course. The futons were fluffy. There was an incident where a man from a different room accidentally came into our room, but there were no bugs.

Everyone had said this hotel was shabby and old, so I was pretty nervous about going there. The front desk is certainly very Showa-era. However, there was a small miniature golf club, nostalgic toys, books, and a ping-pong table, which was fun. The bath was incredibly hot. But we had it all to ourselves. Luxurious. The food was pretty good, too. Maybe it's not really for kids. The room was spacious, and the kids loved the space next to the Japanese-style room with two extra beds. There was a Famicom remote control hanging from the TV, and it looked like you could play games by inserting coins, but no money was inserted. Too bad. From the guest room window, you can see Ago Bay. They also rent fishing equipment. We went fishing this morning and caught a pufferfish. The breakfast was Japanese. It was healthy. Everyone ate a lot. The fairly well-known tonkatsu restaurant next to the inn had about three stray cats, which were adorable. It wasn't as bad as everyone says. Actually, I found it quite unique and interesting. A small AEON mall is just a 2-minute drive away. It was a wonderful trip.
