Crowded 12 people in a room and one bathroom. Guy next to me made noise most of the night. Only one pillow and not very thick. Room was hot with a single pedestal fan. Sweat while sleeping.

They weren't nice at all. I had paid the tax of 4€ directly in Expedia and they charged me again when I arrived, so be careful with this. Also in its home page says the check out it's before noon but when you arrive they say it's before 11 am. I paid for an only woman room and I got a mix room. The staff were rude and not empathetic. There’s no dryer in bathrooms. It's so noisy, dirty and old so you better choose another one.

The beds are very old and very squeaky, couldn’t sleep, because whenever someone moved, it sounded like the bed was about to fall. The staff was amazing and the location very central, walkable but with hundreds of stairs, but that’s Lisbon!

Very basic hostel but staff were friendly! Other guests staying at the hostel were not respectful of quiet time after 10pm and were loud at all hours of the night. Felt safe and good location!

It is a very functional hostel and really close to Barro Alto (straight up a hill though). Worked great for what we needed.

The hostel was under renovation with all the hullabaloo that comes with that. No mention of that before booking. Good location.

I stayed there 11 days and should say that place is cheap , but noisy due to train station in neighbourhood. As well it is hard to stay in 14 or 8 dorms room due to high people traffic (at nights as well). Hostel is placed in old town center, so dining out is pretty expencive and there are no big supermarkets nearby.

It was pretty nice. Everyone on the reception was pretty nice! It's a typical old portuguese building with a great view over Lisbon and super well located!

Very nice place for Backpackers and any traveler, it's easy to meet new people there and have fun. Good bre2for 3 euros, and they care about their guests, if there is something wrong, they will fix it on the spot. All the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful with any tips you would want to know about, plus it was the cheapest hostel and so close to the city, truly an excellent choice.

I wish people would be more honest in their reviews so that you aren’t surprised when you land. It is true the hostel is close to the busy old town area, HOWEVER to get there requires a hike of epic proportions. And then additional stairs when you get to location and then more stairs when you get to your room. The place is old there’s nothing they can do about it. Why they chose to renovate during the busy summer season is beyond me but alas I can’t imagine that they can keep the facilities clean enough with majority of showers now working. There’s no atmosphere at all and they do try with cheap drinks but it’s just not the vibe here. I wouldn’t ever stay here again- hostels have evolved far beyond this place.

Didn’t have the best stay. Only a few showers available in the whole hostel due to maintenance. WiFi only good in the lobby. Staff mildly helpful. Decent location. Would recommend staying elsewhere.

The facilities were kinda dissapoting. No hot water in a whole floor. The room was very small.

Close to everything. But if you with backpack only it very good but if you have a suitcase with you. Ha ha ha get ready to climb up hill and addition 30 step stair way to get in office to check in.

Mit Koffer sind die Aufgangstreppen zum Haus nicht zu bewältigen. Wir haben die Unterkunft nicht nutzen können. In der Beschreibung wurde nicht darüber informiert. Umfeld war auch voller Müll. Wir werden nicht mehr über Expedia Buchen.
