The room was very clean & comfortable.

Location was beautiful, Check in was easy, The bar area and restaurant looked lovely as both areas had log fires roaring, and were decorated very tastefully for Christmas, which gave a lovely welcoming vibe, the room was spotless, bedding was of good quality, the room was very peaceful, with no annoying extractor fan from the bathroom, which you get in a lot of hotels, Also the room was nice and dark, which helped with a really good nights sleep. Evening food was excellent, as was breakfast, the lady we saw at breakfast both days was lovely, friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back for another stay hopefully soon.

Had a good stay couldn’t fault the staff and evening meal was delicious Where it’s not so clever is cleanliness of room Photo attached cobwebs and dust. room maintenance was poor wonky loose tap and bath panel water damage ,looked shabby Stair carpet had hole in it and just let the place down Breakfast was let down by black pudding and hash browns done to crisp . Had far better for less elsewhere Overall thought the inn was in need of some tlc. Would go again for evening meal but would consider stopping elsewhere. B

Another stay at the Alma, it was my 50th birthday and they made me feel special. Room was great, shower was brilliant. Mark was really helpful.

Lovely, cosy hotel in a picturesque area. Every member of staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The food was superb, and not overly priced for such a beautiful place. Our room - no. 3 - was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. We had two nights here, just as a little break away for me and my husband. We both said we would love to go back. There's some beautiful walks, nature reserves, etc in and around Colne, so the Alma will be a great base.

Genuinely friendly welcome and a very comfortable, clean room - all of which I needed after a long, hard day on the Pennine Way. Arrived too late to eat in the evening but breakfast was terrific. Would thoroughly recommend the Alma.

The quality of everything was excellent. This hotel deserves its 4 stars. The customer service was first class, their knowledge and expertise, with food and drinks are visible in every detail. The decor is warm and welcoming, the wood burner was constantly tended makings the lounge areas cozy and warm. There is a welcoming atmosphere and I highly recommend.

Cannot fault our stay. Such a super location over looking the hills. Fantastic rustic building very well designed interior. Our room was so comfortable. Breakfast was superb with options for full English and full English vegetarian. Staff were equally fantastic!!! 10 out of 10.

Great location with stunning views. Breakfast extra @ £15 each. Quality good and broad time window. But continental offerings limited. Cleaning staff superb, Friendly waiting staff and management.

Wonderful stay. Gorgeous breakfast. Comfy beds. The best bit...the views!!! Wow. Wish we had time to stay longer.
