I cannot express what I felt, I was looking for a ryokan to have a nice relaxing moment and I found this ryokan. For the moment I entered my room it was stopless, a nice tatami room, big enough to accomodate 3-4 people. A PERSONAL ONSEN INSIDE YOUR ROOM!!! and overall was the best stay in all my travels to Japan. The hotel is near the 7 hells of Beppu and is easy to find. THE BEST RYOKAN EVER.

The private onsen were phenomenal. The onsen in the room was also amazing. The main clerk made sure to explain everything he could about the room, the baths, and the entirety of the building. Breakfast was also amazing, a large spread of what I hope is a traditional Japanese breakfast.

Loved free open-air kashikiri bath. Meals were also very impressive.

The hotel is quite old. Very low shower flow. The meals are quite nice. Services are alright. No taxi services in the area. Need to order from the counter.

This part of our Japanese trip was terrific in all its aspects. We had a bit of drive, and a late lunch was the first thing on the agenda. We were directed to several nearby restaurants to choose where to go. Our luggage was secured. When we returned and checked in, the customer service was exceptional. We were shown all the facilities, and the owner demonstrated how to use them. I was surprised we had to nominate our mealtimes, but I later understood why. We pre-booked dinner, and it was superb. It included hot and cold dishes and was very filling. The quality of the meal was second to none. After dinner, we enjoyed an onsen that was included in our accommodation. I loved it - the privacy and the experience. The bedding on the floor which for someone who was cramping badly overnight - it proved difficult for me to escape the pain. However, that was a distraction rather than any fault with the facility in the scheme of things. Breakfast was equally good. Overall, this was a fabulous stay, and the hosts were typical of the Japanese, very polite and accommodating. When the next day, we visited many of the sites in Beppu, and we were grateful that we took the opportunity to visit the town and this hotel.

I think alot of the review calling this place old are just wrong this place is excellent if you want to do the hells tour and go around bath hopping . It has a traditional feel to it and the staff where helpful and the half board the food and way it was displayed was often the best part of the night.

I had great time with wonderful hardworking staffs here. They are all taking their jobs seriously, and hospitality services were beyond professional expectations. Onsens and bath options are so many that i got to enjoy several different onsens within this facility. Dinner and breakfast were extremely luxurious that i cant believe how relatively cheap to enjoy! Location may be hard to access from beppu station, but if you ask staff to reserve van taxi for large party members a day in advance, no big deal (2050 yen from beppu station to this ryokan, but we all gave extra 1000 yen for tips for great taxi service drivers).

Entrance of Hotel looks like a out of bisiness in few month. Better have garden work and clean. I don't use this hotel again .

Staff are friendly, hotel is a bit dated but we enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was great, the rooms are not as nice as in the pictures and note that ALL rooms are smoking rooms.

It is a nice place and the staff are excellent, breakfast was great and the onsen baths on site are nice as well. However the room we were given smelled strongly of smoke (I'm not sure if the app booked us in a smoking room or if the hotel did) and it was generally a little more run down than we would have liked. The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. The bath area in the room could definitely use some fixing/cleaning up. Also the location is not convenient for downtown Beppu - it is convenient if you are visiting the hells, however.

It was okay. Good to have private bath but don’t go there in the evening. There are mosquitoes at night time. My husband got 4 bites and I got 3. There wasn’t a massage chair as shown on their websites. Not much of accommodations. No face mask nor hair treatments. Only body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Kind of disappointed. Most onsens I been to have lots of beauty supplies that you can try. The tatami is comfortable and the food is definitely good. We just didn’t like the mackerel.

Room is big enough for 5 guests but the private bathroom was too exposed. The staff was helpful to cater to our needs by providing us a screen to cover up the glass panel to block the views from the opposite building. The staffs helped us to lay out our futons. Dinner was great with lots of varieties. Private Onsen is just nice for 2 to 3 guests.

친절한 응대, 깔끔하고 넓은 객실, 포근한 침구, 바다뷰, 여유로운 가족탕과 대욕탕, 맛있는 가이세키와 조식까지! 근처에 큰 마트랑 베이커리도 있고 맥도날드와 니시마츠야도 가까워요. 지옥온천 관광지도 가까워서 다녀오기 좋습니다. 16개월 아기와 함께 방문했었는데 정말 좋은 추억 가득 남기고 다녀갑니다. 감사합니다!

地元の料理品数大変満足でした　 スタッフ対応も素早くストレスなし 食事で温かいメニューが冬場はもう少し工夫したらもっと素晴らしいかな

깨끗한 객실과 친절한 직원, 맛있는 조식과 석식 너무너무 좋았어요. 근데 큰 도로 옆에 료칸이 위치해 있어서 차량 소음이 심해 밤새 음악을 틀고 잤어요 이틀 숙박했는데 식사때마다 메뉴가 달라서 질리지 않고 너무 좋았어요

施設は、ちょっと古い感じでしたが、スタッフの方は親切丁寧で良かったです、また、お風呂も温度調整バッチリでとても気持ち良く過ごす事が出来ました。朝食も美味しく食べ切れ無い程でした。

住宿、泡湯環境非常棒 值得再來住

온천이 각방마다 딸려있어서 너무 좋았어요. 커텐이 적어 아침에 강제기상하긴 했는데 아침밥 먹을 시간이라 저는 상관 없었지만 동행이 아침잠이 좀 많아 불평을 했네요ㅋㅋ 저녁도 포함해 묵었는데 메뉴도 훌륭하고 좋았어요ㅎㅎ 다음번엔 가족들이랑 그룹으로 오고 싶어요. 호텔 직원분들이 진짜 너무 다 친절하셨고 그래서 기억에 많이 남아요! 강추해요.
