Nice old rustic country pub, with good food. Accommodation basic and bit outdated

I am a regular visitor to this country pub inn. clean rooms, friendly staff, traditional pub ambiance, convenient for road trips and nice garden with kids play area. Also very good food choices. If you are looking for a quintessential English country pub inn to stay, this is the place.

Excellent food generous

From the moment we arrived we felt at ease. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was clean with comfortable beds. The tea, coffee and biscuits were much needed after a long drive. Evening meals in the pub were all cooked fresh and the portions were large yet very reasonably priced. Breakfast was cooked to order too .

Great pub with nice rooms very clean and tidy the staff are excellent and the breakfast is good. We went to Jimmy's farm and this was the perfect location for stop over as only 5 mins away We stayed for 2 nights and the pub restaurant did excellent food people.wwerw queuing for a table So great location and great food and beer and very clean. Yes we would stay again.

We stayed for just one night and had no complaints whatsoever. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and we left feeling well-rested. Bed was comfortable. I would recommend it. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was spotless, well-maintained, and perfectly functional—so it didn’t affect our stay at all. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic beer garden, overall great.

Stayed on business for one night. Great welcome and great food at the bar. Room was clean and tidy if a little tired. Would definitely stay again though.

For the price I can’t really complain and this was really just a bed for the night as we had to be somewhere local early next morning. We did not get the room we booked & initially were given a twin room. The lady found us a tight double room but this was upstairs and next to a couple of rooms that shared a bathroom in the hall. I lost count of the times the doors slammed during the night. However our room and bathroom were very clean just dated. Breakfast was great and all the staff during our stay were very pleasant, friendly & helpful. If you are looking to eat in the restaurant then best to book as this was very popular with the locals
