I chose this hotel for it's convenient location and "pool". We were assigned Room 403. - During our first evening, the bathroom vanity faucet erupted with a blast of air and water, followed by 30 seconds of DIRTY BROWN WATER. We did not drink it or shower in it after that. After paying $200+ per night, I was quite disgusted to have to "camp out" in our room with water bottles. This was by far the worst thing wrong. - The switch on the bedside light on one side did not work. We tried a different bulb, but it was the switch, not the bulb. - The LCDs on the thermostat were illegible: we could not predict the temperature we were setting. - The sheets were papery, crinkly, and in the case of the bottom sheet abrasive. I felt like I was being exfoliated all night. - The pool and hot tub were "closed" during our stay. We had hoped to have the family over for a Christmas swim as we have done at another hotel in Grande Prairie, but could not. - The TV "system" was idiotic and almost impossible to use, despite my background in programming and Engineering. - They have a ridiculous, threatening-sounding sign in the elevator specifying a fine if the elevator stops during our trip. We will avoid all Sheraton and Marriott Hotels in future.

Staff were lovely checking my dog and I in. Slightly dissapointed that I reserved a king and got 2 queens, I assume that was because I was bringing a dog and they didnt have a king room that was dog friendly. I get it. A heads up or just a "by the way" explaination would have been nice. All and all not a deal breaker.

Room had water damage to cabinets and there was damage to the bathtub. Toilet paper felt like what you’d expect in a gas station bathroom not an expensive hotel. Beds, sheets, and pillows were just okay.

Front desk staff on Sept 28th was rude and condescending. Implied that I did not pay to upgrade my room. When I needed to extend my stay the day before, I was willing to downgrade to a different room and move to pay a lower fee, the employee at the time (on the 27th) was very accommodating and suggested I could just stay in the room, which was accepted and appreciated. The staff that was rude implied that she needed to have a conversation with that employee….as to indicate that she would be in trouble. A customer should not feel as though they have done something wrong or that they may have gotten someone in trouble for something they didn’t request.

The check in was a weird experience, the lady that was working on Aug 23 treated me like it was my first time checking into a hotel then proceeded to serve another guy who butted inline. It was one of the most painful check-in experiences I’ve experienced in a long time.
