It’s a great location to stay in! Walkable distance to all the spots you want to visit and close to bus stops if you’re traveling a little bit further out. Very clean and relaxing room. 5 min taxi ride to the terminal.

Fantastic location. Unique hotel right above famous Harry’s bar. The only tip I would give the management is to make sure your room safes are permanently fixed to something - ours was not and could easily have been picked up and removed.

We loved our stay at The Shire hotel. We were able to walk to a lot of sights easily. Our room and bed was comfortable and clean.

Very convenient location and central to all areas we were wanting to see. Very friendly and helpful staff that provided fabulous guidance to restaurants and areas to visit.

The Shire was a wonderful boutique hotel in a convenient area of Rome. It was charming and hospitable and our room was everything we expected and more. It was hip and comfortable. The staff was warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location and view of Borghese Gardens and Roman wall from our room. Lots of light and very spacious and clean room. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Excellent value for hotel in Rome. Will stay here again. Only hallenge was the lock on entry door at night. Our key card never worked.

I was unable to sleep as there was extremely loud noise from the bar and streets below. In addition, the room as too hot and the staff was unwilling to help us make the room cooler. The hangers in the closet could only be reached if guests are well over 6’ tall. There was no makeup or other mirror available for such. The room was tastefully-designed, spacious and essentials such as the bed and bath were good. The service and hospitality were not commensurate with the price.

Love the hotel, it is very nice, elegant and quiet, the bed was super comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the staff was super friendly, We highly recommend this hotel, next time in Rome we will stay here.

Overall property was ok. Room clean well maintained only a bit too small. Only one side of the bed had night stand no place to charge phone or put anything from another side of the bed. ?! Stuff very friendly helpful but a little issue with front door opening at first. Ok after few attempts. Breakfast served on cold side sandwiches with broiled eggs warm only. It could be more choices such as scrambled or egg whites. Just a suggestions. Thank you.

Very friendly and accommodating staff.

This small boutique hotel is hard to find, but it is worth the effort. The surrounding neighborhood is super charming. It is right across from the Borghese Area and close walking distance to Trevi and Spanish Steps. The staff was very helpful, they helped to book transport to our port and allowed us to store luggage while we we did some sightseeing before departure.

Had a wonderful stay at The Shire Hotel. Great safe location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Stayed in the Luxury King corner suite. Room was beautiful. Breakfast had a large variety Only recommendation is bring ear plugs. Harry’s Bar is below and every evening until approx 1 am they have live music

Not an hotel - no concierge your are on your own upon arrival. The rooms need a good coat of paint and mattress is not confortable. Breakfast is just ok.
