The pub is charming but very, very loud and our room opened out to the courtyard. The room was very hot because it faced the sun and the day was bright, so we needed to open the window and then had a lot of pub noise. The en suite bath was tiny but operational. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and despite a busy evening, they managed to seat us so we could eat. The food as good too both for dinner and breakfast.

Fantastic vibe in a charming village in the countryside. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Truly a gem and a must see to escape the bustle of Dublin. The food - especially the breakfast and burgers are outstanding. Kayla was the nicest person to serve us; super sweet.

Very friendly pub/inn. The food ( dinner and breakfast), was tasty and a good choice. The bar was busy in the evening, as was the restaurant, so it is clearly a popular venue. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had been recently refurbished to a really good standard and was super clean. The team were super friendly and helpful. Parking out the back was very handy. Definitely worth a look if you’re wanting somewhere within easy reach of Dublin and the coast. Recommended 👍👍

This is a good one night stay for a great price. Our room was simple and small but had everything we needed - except air conditioning. Which would have been fine if the window had a screen. Pretty warm in the room on a not terribly warm evening. The best things about this hotel are the staff and the food. We had a wonderful, very reasonably priced dinner and great breakfast next morning, which was included in the price of our room. Shout out to Jay, bartender who checked us into the hotel and showed us to our room and later served us drinks and dinner.

The room could have been cleaner floor was dusty. Parking was a bit of a challenge. The bar and restaurant were full therefore no parking for guests. Staff were friendly. Check in was also a challenge as we had to find someone that could check us in. Breakfast was delicious.

Restaurant, food and staff really lovely. Bedroom was nice but bathroom was poor, needed a lot of TLC, and a bit of money spent on it. A lot of wear and tear, which was sad because if it was given a little attention and updating, could be really lovely. The restaurant was the star of it all… the guests rooms seem to have been forgotten. All in all, nice and okay stay.

Such wonderful helpful staff. Great bar and restaurant, well situated in Delgany , quiet and secure off road parking. Rooms were spacious and well appointed.

Amazing hosts, great rooms, great service, great food. I cannot say enough about the Horse and Hound, from the moment we arrived Mark and his staff took care of us and made us feel welcome and pampered! Cannot wait to go back!

Pamela was absolutely wonderful helping us with our stay. Our meals in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent. Eloise provided exceptional service in the restaurant and Kevin in the lounge was both fun and engaging. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend The Horse and Hound as an Inn & Restaurant to all of our friends and family.

Nice property, well priced, pleasant staff, food good & good value. It was exactly as I’d hoped. Good parking, lovely village.

The room was very lovely!! Just VERY small. I couldn’t turn around or shut the door to the bathroom because of how small it was. This is a great place if you’re staying a night and passing through. Would stay here again.

Pros for this property are that the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food is adequate for pub grub. The rooms are bright and clean Cons - The noise from the bar below prevented us from having a good night's sleep and that was during the day as well. May l please suggest that you put a mirror in the bedroom as l was unable to blow dry my hair without this.

Lovely room, well situated

The staff was amazing especially at the restaurant. Room kept clean and they cleaned our room everyday. Great food hands down. Love the area it was so quaint.

The staff failed to inform us that there would be construction going on EARLY in the morning hours. We woke at 4am to workers getting ready and 7am to saws and hammers going. This was directly across from us. They should have at minimum put us down the hall further. Also, shower did not work properly and flooded the bathroom.
