staff truly delightful, so a very happy stop over

Room was great, staff were fab, all of them! Very accomodating and extremely helpful. The food at the inn was excellent - they provided GF options and were really, really lovely. Would defo stay again!

Ideal location to go walking the staff we're wonderful very friendly and helpful. The menu is a bit sparce but what was available was superb would highly recommend

Terrific stock of spirits good selection of ales incl. alcohol free. Fabulous food freshly cooked oth brekkie and evening meals. Staff / owners lovely warm welcome and pleasant company.

Dinner was delicious and high quality. Attentive and friendly staff. Quality real ale in the bar. Mix of locals and visitors. Spacious accommodations. Character and lovely atmosphere. Very dog friendly and interesting short walk nearby highlighting prehistoric and dark ages history.

First, the really good bits - the staff were very welcoming & friendly. The room in the main building was fine, bed was comfortable & clean. Grouting mouldy in bathroom but decent size & good shower, Clearly a popular village pub. But - the carpet on the stairs and landing was disgusting. The whole place needs tlc; some things would take very little effort or cost, a pot of paint and weed removal outside.

Great room and a great pub, staff were very friendly, food was very good. Breakfast omelette was very very good 👍👌

Staff very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Food excellent. Room clean but a few repairs required in bathroom and bed. Enjoyed our two nights stay.

The Lodge we were in was brilliant, no stairs to climb. The staff were friendly, and the whole area was quiet.Will be going again. !!
