We had a lovely stay here over the weekend. The restaurant is fantastic, we ate here on three evenings and every meal was brilliant- great quality and taste. There is also a lovely breakfast selection as well, the Scottish Brie tastes nicer than French Brie in my opinion! The hotel is spotless and the decor lovely and welcoming. The staff are all so friendly as well. The only tiny point that they could do to improve would be to put more coffee and tea in the rooms each day, they only give you one sachet each per day and a set of random coffee pods which are not marked except by a colour ( we worked out blue was plain water, brown was coffee but not sure what the pink coloured ones were!) this is a minor point though . The hotel is great and we’d stay here again.

Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Very spacious well equipped room. Enjoyed the food - only tip would be going to breakfast earlier as food may be cool in buffet at later times. Great conversion into a hotel.

We found the hotel to be comfortable, with good facilities and overall were well looked after. Our one complaint was that the à la carte breakfast options weren’t available at the weekend as the chef “would be too busy”, and there was no evidence of that with small numbers in the dining room. We mentioned to Reception over the weekend but not on the Monday as we were checking out. Otherwise the hotel was a good choice.

The breakfast was decent, with little options outside of the buffet. The staff and room were good. Room service was a little slow - taking half an hour to get some milk and sugar.

The room was clean and nicely set up. Temperature was fine for early spring. Walking distance to restaurants down on the water area; but, the restaurant in the hotel was lovely. Great staff and tasty meal. The bed and pillow were VERY firm, if you like that, it's great.

Room was clean. Good shower and bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location. Use this hotel when visiting St Andrews.

A basic no frills hotel in a quite location which is within walking distance of Dundee City Centre. My room and bathroom were very clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of towels. It would be better if the cleaner removed the black marks around the external light switch on the wall outside the bathroom door. The carpet in the hallway leading to my room could have benefited from being thoroughly swept clean. The restaurant offers a menu which is better than most similar hotels. My evening meal on the night of my arrival (Boeuf Bourguignon) was tasty but could have been much hotter. I would avoid the Dundee Marmalade Bread and Butter Pudding on the Dessert menu. A very obliging Breakfast Waiter arranged to make some porridge for me on the morning of my departure. There are very pleasant receptionists working in the hotel.

Thought the room cleanliness especially the carpets the skirtings and bathroom floor were looking worn bed was great clean sheets towels ect just looked really tired and used dressing table was looking old aswell….. staff were really helpful and kind would stay there again value for money

Little disappointed in breakfast

The room was clean, & larger than I expected, but in a boutique industrial conversion way. The one problem I had was very intermittent TV reception, with sometimes it working fine, & other times. The message 'No signal' coming up.

Excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. Close to the town centre, railway station & the V&A.

Best hotel in Dundee. Staff - were great! Lad running the bar was fantastic. Helpful. Friendly and a pro.

Coffee machine did not work.....Was asked for a deposit at reception when I arrived although room was paid.....At breakfast there was no plates , so asked for one and was given a very small size one.....The receptionist came and asked for the breakfast bill to be paid when I was still eating , she said she had a lot of admin duties..... ( ??? ), so will not come back

Freezing cold room, hearing wouldn’t work. Absolutely no food at breakfast… In fairness all acknowledged by manager but couldn’t offer any refund as booked through Expedia.
