We have stayed here several times over the years and always enjoyed a friendly welcome and a relaxed way of going on. We enjoy the typical German style of a family owned, host on site experience... and the breakfast is good! Excellent location too. Bochum town centre is only a few minutes away on the frequent tram which stops nearby. Would recommend Haus Vocke to anyone!

My room was small but totally alright for one guest. Beautiful color combinations in the room.

Nice quiet suburban hotel with excellent transport link 5min to city centre and university WiFi was being repaired but there was an open neighbourhood WiFi suite which was adequate

Lovely little hotel, run by a lovely lady, my German isn't the best and her English similar, but we got there, nice room, great breakfast. Location is a little out of Bochum (3 stops on the tram), would consider again if I was in the area.

Nice hotel clean quiet and close to public transit we had everything we needed for the price we paid close to the stadium if you are going to a game

Very kind owner who takes a personal interest in her guests. Clean. Comfortable beds. Free mineral water. On the negative side, there are no fridges in rooms and TV reception was poor. Also there used to be a very good restaurant downstairs which is now under different management and is much less appealing.

The room was clean and standard. Check in was a problem. We arrived around 3.30 p.m. There didn't seem to be antone about. I had to ask next door in the wine shop about checking in. After ringing the door bell and elderly lady looked out the window and dircetsd me in to the building. I eventually managed to locate appropriate person, who looked like she'd just awoken. She showed me to our room and and we didn't see her until breakfast the next day. We would have had a meal there but due to first impressions we decided to go elsewhere. Breakfast was adequate.
