Room was spacious and tidy with a great balcony view! Great breakfast and also loved the pool!

The location and apartment are simply perfect! The rooms were really clean and the breakfast was plentyfull. Staff (Isabel & Ana) was also very helpful and responsive. 100% recommend!

This is a really nice, well maintained property with everything you need for a great stay. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer. It’s very roomy and comfortable and there’s a wonderful restaurant up the hill from the property with awesome meals. I’ll definitely return here when I come again.

We loved our stay. The location is great. You are close to the ocean and in the Pico Vineyards. There is a beautiful hike you can start from the property. The breakfast was good. We also had dinner one evening and really enjoyed the food.

The property is beautiful. 10min drive to town with many options to eat…The views of the islands are at your back door. We have made a life long friend with Anna. She is the best… Helpful in every way. Thank you Anna for making our stay so pleasant…

Staff was amazing, they stayed open to help us check in late after our flights were impacted due to weather. The place is spotless and smells incredible. We didn’t get to try dinner at the restaurant as it was closed for a celebration holiday on Monday but the breakfast was delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, a little bit outside of The main town but close to hiking vineyards and the ocean. Bonus is Noah, the cat who visits outside and came to hang out with us for awhile (he’s super loving and friendly). We absolutely loved our stay here and in Pico

We loved staying here. It was only for one night, but it was so amazing. Between the villa, the view, the staff, and the area, it was great. I would definitely stay there again!

The location was fantastic. I loved hearing the ocean crashing all night from my window and the view. The restaurant on premises was delicious and there were adorable cats in the area. Highly recommend this place. I would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful small hotel on the ocean. The Manager Joana is so lovely and ensures you have everything you need for a great stay. This place is a perfect spot to explore the island including to start the historic vineyard walking trail. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property directly on UNESCO vineyard trailhead and on the port of Calhau. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was nice. Would stay again.

Nice for hiking right from the property, only 1.5 hr to Magdalena through vineyards and along the ocean shore. Good restaurants in Magdalena. 8 min by car. Amazing view of Mt. Pico. Very quiet.

Great view, either to the ocean or to the mountain. Surrounded by curral vineyards. We had a very warm welcoming. The hostes is extremely nice and you'll feel at ease, like you know her for a long time. She gave us a map with the main attractions and restaurants. All the restaurants she listed were spor on. The room is very spacious, and has great amenities. With a full kitchen. It's in a good location 5 minutes form Madalena. Don't think you can't get much better than this.

We spent three nights and were extremely happy with our decision to stay. The room looked exactly like the pictures, tastefully done and comfortable. The staff responded timely to messages before our arrival. Once there they were pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend Vinhas do Calhau

Pleasant and helpful staff! The apartment suite we stayed in (#4) was wonderful. Clean, spacious, quiet, stylish and well equipped, and with a large sunny patio overlooking the sea! The location is an easy 10 minute drive to Madalena, and far enough out for peaceful ocean breezes. Continental breakfast was sufficient. Unfortunately, must drive somewhere for dinner although we walked up to the local cafe/pub for some cheap beers! Overall a 5 out of 5! Looking forward to seeing the progress of the construction of the single units and restaurant!
