We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dalahyttur! The cabins were clean, cozy, and had a lovely view with a small deck area. The onsite dining was delicious and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We would love to stay here again!

Easy check in. Super cute cabin. Owner’s friendliness. Property surrounded by mountains, meadows, river, sheeps. What is not to love!

We had such a good experience here! Loved the friendliness and was an amazing location. Felt like a modern luxurious bed and breakfast while staying connected to nature! Dinner was amazing and we even got local recommendations to the next town we were visiting plus great sights to see along the way. Would definitely come back!!

Lovely staff and delicious dinner!

Beautiful and peaceful location. Easy to find a use as a place to take excursions from. Ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the food was good quality and flavorful.

Everything was excellent. Incredible place quiet just a few KM of the road, on a beautiful farm with cute lambs. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely stabbing Mountain View’s, excellent kitchen and dining experience! Gurdrid is amazing host and her place is impeccably clean, friendly and offers so much for mountain hiking, enjoying nature, views to the fjords and quiet countryside that is filled with moments of peace and love. Easy access to many tourist destinations but also provides great retreat from crowds for relaxing night. Great beds and highly quality mattress and pillows let you recover and enjoy! Highly recommend and would love to come back and stay longer.

A great tiny cottage on a working farm. There are 6 cottages available each with a small private deck. We could go out at various hours to watch the northern lights without disturbing others. There is no TV but we had wifi and the amazing scenery to keep us occupied. The owner was helpful and breakfast great. Dinner is provided if requested in advance. Highly recommend. Cozy is the best word to describe it.

We had the pleasure of staying at Dalahyttur for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and it was an incredible experience. The room was lovely—warm, cozy, and beautifully presented, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Both breakfast and evening meals were delicious, well-portioned, and of excellent quality, leaving us fully satisfied. The host was simply wonderful—kind, welcoming, and full of helpful information that made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Dalahyttur for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stop!

Highly recomended in all areas. A lovely room with a view. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious thank you. Toiletries were excellent high quality products. Nothing to fault with this property with lovely hosts

Beautiful cabin and lovely host, would highly recommend

I had a wonderful, and far too brief, stay here! The location is off the beaten path, but the views are fantastic. Had the weather cooperated, it would be perfect for Northern Lights! Place was adorable, and had every convenience in the room (including additional charging cables and conversion plugs). Communication was perfect and the food was excellent! I ended up being the only traveller during my stay and the owner was so accommodating...she even offered for me to stay extra as needed due to a high wind warning! I also enjoyed my conversation with her during dinner. I would absolutely return to this guesthouse during another Iceland trip!

Wonderful place

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff communicated very clearly and were very kind. The small cottage was very clean and cozy with a lovely view. We would definitely stay here again.

The lodge is on a gorgeous property in the valley before the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The owner was so kind and accommodating after our flight was significantly delayed. The breakfast was hearty, good variety and delicious. It’s a perfect spot to explore the peninsula. You need to plan a little ahead for food items (snacks and lunch only as breakfast and dinner are available). Highly recommend!

Out of 13 places weve stayed in around Iceland his is the only one that got everything right. The host and owner was extremely welcoming and friendly in an authentic way. The room was lovely comfortable and had many thoughtful touches (wine opener, real wine glasses, a fridge, menstrual products in the bathroom). Great dinner and service. Fantastic view from the room. I would enthusiastically stay here again, which I can't say about any the other accommodations here, and some of them were wildly expensive.

This was our favorite accommodations on our 10 day trip to Iceland. The property was clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The view from the back door of our cabin was gorgeous.

The best of the best

The room was incredibly cozy and well stocked with many amenities. The space was clean and modern with many upgrades. The breakfast was a good spread and the host was lovely and very helpful. She provided a lot of good information on the local area and helpful tips. This was by far the best place we stayed during our trip to Iceland, I wish we could have stayed there the whole time!
