An amazing stay in Kevin's old house, the room was lovely, large and had nice furniture and all the features needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were amazing throughout the stay, helping wherever they can. The location is easily accessible to train stations and metro to the wider Shanghai area with two metro stations nearby. The breakfast was great and we are looking forward to staying there again when we can next visit Shanghai

Sadly not as welcoming as previous guests had experienced. Barely a word as we arrived and very little else during our 2 night stay rooms are large and comfortable but dated and access is down a poorly lit alley. The area is very safe as is most of Shanghai from our brief stay. We have booked a different accommodation for our next 2 day stopover. Had the owners shown a little more interest in us they would have discovered that we were returning shortly and could have booked with them but they seemed more interested in the restaurant side of the business which meant our room was pretty noisy as well

The hotel is very well located, 10 minutes walk from a subway station. We received a suite of two spacious rooms, with a large bathroom that even had a washing machine and a cloths hanger, which was very convenient. Mineral water supply was unlimited and the refrigerator and air-condition were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was good as well. Breakfast was very good and was served at our convenience. We definitely recommend this hotel for a few days stay in Shanghai.

Great location on the edge of the French Concession area. The staff was great. A few minutes after we checked in, there was a knock on our door. The staff delivered 2 fresh cups of espresso as a welcome. It felt like we were at “home.” Bedroom, living room with 2 couches, and a bathroom complete with washer. Since it was Chinese New Year, the place was very quiet and may have been the only guests at one point. The breakfast was served in the Italian Restaurant which was attached and off the first floor. It was ready for us at the time we specified. The only negative is that they put us in suite 218 which is right above the kitchen of the restaurant. The noises from the kitchen could be very loud at night. We will request a different room when we book our next stay.

Amazing place. Rooms are large, a bit quirky but very clean and well equipped. The ground floor italian restaurant is amazing. And the area is great. Just love it. Can’t wait to go back

Great place to stay if you do not need five star hotel service. This tiny hotel looks like an old mansion converted into a small guest house. It's locates in my favorite district of Shanghai, JingAn, and the area has plenty of nice bars and cafes. But only stairs to get to the rooms, so not suitable with people with difficulties walking. The ground floor is a really neat Italian restaurant, which I supposed is owned by the same owner. I didn't get to try their Italian food. But the local Chinese breakfast they provided was not bad.
