friendly staff

This was our first time staying at this hotel, where we spent two nights on the Victoria Day weekend. The hotel is in a convenient location, just around the corner from the Sherbrooke Metro stop, and walking distance to lots of places. Our room (402) was one of their larger suites, and it was spacious and bright and well appointed. It even had a nice size terrace. Though the view from the terrace was nothing much (a back alley and the back side of a neighbouring building), it was still nice to have a little outdoor space to enjoy some fresh air...and you could see the tops of buildings in Old Montreal in the distance. The hotel overall was clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints, and we would definitely stay again.

Very nice and spacious rooms. The bathroom was great. Clean all throughout. There was also a very nice smelling room already and sewing kit. Breakfast could be a bit better very generic but I liked how they had smoked salmon and bagels and cream cheese (very Montreal). The staff were good. The only problem was that there was a wedding downstairs therefore, the room was a bit noisy until midnight or so but none the less the bed was very comfortable and we fell asleep despite the noise.

This newly renovated hotel with hot breakfast buffet in the Village is wonderful. It is a distance to centre ville or old port but lots of walkable sites. The spa was a nice touch although a ten minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice place to stay close to Mount Royal.

Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was good with a variety of items, staff were friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. Within walking distance to shops, cafes and the metro if you want to travel farther. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

I LOVE how intimate this hotel is. It almost feels like you have your own rental with an awesome building staff. The team was so friendly, accommodating— you can tell they all have a healthy communication with each other. I highly recommend getting one of the rooms with a balcony! The view is gorgeous. Breakfast was tasty and everything was well replenished & heater with covered heating trays. My room was very clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is great for getting around if you’re a first timer. I will definitely be back to stay with them again.

Everything was clean, fantastic location close to coffee shops and the Metro. Staff were very helpful and kind. Bed was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus a few extras.

Arrived late in the evening and had difficulty discerning the building as a hotel. Also had several steps leading to the front door (as seen in picture) with no way to enter with large suitcase and no staff outside to assist. Front reception was disorganized, dusty and disheveled which made me concerned about the rooms. After signing a waiver for indemnification for the valet service (which I have never had to do elsewhere) and inquiring about room service (which was unavailable) I was directed to my room. The trip to the elevator required another 6 stairs with all of my luggage. Surprisingly the room was large and clean. However it had an unpleasant odour and it was very hot. I That said, the thermostat was locked so the staff could only come in and turn the heat off but would not turn the AC on to cool the room. They said they would leave the heat off and I should leave the balcony door open to cool it off. No solution for if it were to get too cool because the thermostat had to stay locked. It was just a difficult stay. The stairs, the thermostat, the lack of room service, ice, etc. My experience was nothing that I would expect from a four star hotel in a major city

Hôtel St Thomas is a lovely hotel in a convenient area of Montreal. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. It also easy to get to when travelling by car. The use of a nearby gym is a bonus.
