Proprietors very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone at the guesthouse was very nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Thanks to Barbara and Harry!

This is a safe place to stay in a city that is increasingly dangerous. Judith on the front desk is the perfect host. But there is no breakfast or even a kitchen in the guest house. There are, however, eateries close-by. I would recommend this property and will stay here again.

Barbara and Harry were terrific! Our triple room was very comfortable. We are staying there again in early January. Greenhouse is in an excellent location. Close to V&A.

Convenient location

This guesthouse was exactly what I needed during my stay in Cape Town. It has a tremendous amount of charm that can only exist in a property that is a little bit older. The couple that run it are very, very nice people, as were the other staff members that I met. My unit had a small refrigerator and microwave and there are grocery stores a short walking distance away. The Victoria and Alfred waterfront is also within walking distance. If you're looking for a modern hotel with all the amenities, this is not the place for you, but if want a clean room in a charming house with people who make you feel like family, you've found it!

It was a nice hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff. It was well located near spar, KFC, pick n pay and other restaurants and shops.

A fantastic boutique hotel, very secure with gated parking and access, and lovely comfortable rooms.

Warnung! Absolut nicht empfehlenswert! Vorab hatte ich schriftlich einen Parkplatz reserviert, der mir ebenfalls schriftlich zugesichert wurde. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass die Gastgeber lediglich zwei Parkplätze für drei Autos vorgesehen hatten. Das bedeutete, dass immer zwei Fahrzeuge hintereinander parkten, was täglich zu mehrfachen Problemen führte. Ständig mussten Autos umgeparkt werden, wenn jemand herausfahren wollte. Das negative Highlight ereignete sich kurz vor Ende unseres Aufenthalts: Am Vorabend wurde uns ausdrücklich versichert, dass wir unser Auto bis zur Abreise nicht mehr bewegen müssten. Am nächsten Morgen waren wir unterwegs, als ich plötzlich mehrere Anrufe in Abwesenheit erhielt. Grund: Das Auto vor uns musste dringend weg, da die Gäste zum Flughafen mussten. Wir beeilten uns, ein Uber zu nehmen, um zurück zur Unterkunft zu gelangen. Doch als wir ankamen, war unser Auto bereits verschoben worden! Der Gastgeber hatte unter unser Auto Seifenlauge geschüttet und es selbst verschoben! Wir waren schockiert und fassungslos. Zu allem Überfluss stellten wir später fest, dass dabei eine Beule ins Auto gedrückt wurde. Im Schockzustand haben wir dies vor Ort nicht bemerkt. Nun habe ich zusätzlichen Stress mit der Autoversicherung. Fazit: Wenn Sie einen ruhigen und stressfreien Urlaub verbringen möchten, buchen Sie diese Unterkunft nicht!
