My recent experience at the Hampton by Hilton was nothing short of a nightmare, marked by unprofessionalism, deceit, and a complete disregard for customer service. From the moment we arrived as a work team, the reception was a disaster. A staff member rudely called me over using their index finger and even went as far as questioning why people pay so much for a stay at this hotel. We were all shocked by the complete lack of respect and courtesy. The room was in dismal condition—dirty, stained bedding, grimy carpets, and an unmistakable unpleasant odor. Basic maintenance was clearly neglected, and the poor state of the facilities set an extremely low standard for the rest of our stay. The ordeal didn’t stop at check-in. At check-out, Batina charged me again for a booking that had already been paid through Expedia, leaving me out of pocket by £730. I was immediately lied to: initially promised a refund by the end of the day, then informed again by Pal, the duty manager, that it would take 48 hours. When I discussed the issue with Shaun during my second check-in, he noted my concerns but seemed equally perplexed. Upon my final check-out, I was told by Batina that refunds now take 12–15 days—a complete reversal of earlier assurances. 3 weeks and i am still waiting for the refund

Lovely hotel, the only criticism for me was the bed was a little hard for my liking and the base was bigger than the matress and knocked myself a few times but other than that everything was excellent and the staff werr lovely and very helpful, if up that way again would definitely stay there again 😊

Checked in mid evening and was cold outside. Was informed at check in that the team had been to my room and closed the curtains and put the heating on so it was not cold. Wow now that’s some check in service

Great service from staff but rooms were rubbish very average and small the bed was awful literally felt like I had springs poking in my back. Also The tv wouldn’t turn of so had a bring light in my face all night when I was trying to sleep The most stupidest WiFi system ever you have to download an app in order to connect to WiFi which makes 0 sense couldn’t connect my games console! I have stayed in better holiday ins I ended up checking out the next day. Shocking I had high expectations as it’s the famous so called Hilton hotel! Won’t be booking here again!

We've stayed here a few times now and previously had good experiences. This time however, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it felt 'well used' and you could feel the springs. We checked the times for breakfast on the hotel directory on the in room TV and it stated that breakfast was served until 11:00am, when we got to the breakfast area at 10:00 we were told that the kitchen had shut at 10:00 and we're unable to serve breakfast. We were kindly offered what had been left (cold scrambled egg), but felt disappointed that the room information hadn't been kept up to date
