The glass art gallery is magnificent!

Great hotel a

Glass Light… where do I begin. Before I even arrived at the hotel, a huge red flag popped up. I came in from Philadelphia, I have never been to Norfolk in my life. When I arrived it was around 930pm and raining buckets. I called the front desk to obtain a landmarks near the hotel because my Uber driver could not find the hotel at all. I asked the front desk attendant was there a federal building near the hotel. She responded “Yes, there are several federal buildings in our area”. I asked, can I have a name of the one Glass Light, she just didn’t answer my question. I hung up, with literal steam rising for my head. My Uber driver and I drove around for another 10 to 15 minutes and I just got out and walked in until I was able to find the hotel. So, this hotel does not have self service ice machines or stocked ice bags in common areas for guests to grab at their convenience. Therefore, the procedure is the request given a bucket of ice at the front desk or a bucket of ice is bought to the room. Everything was going smoothly when they were mailed at the front desk. On my second or third morning there I walked into the lobby after exercising and asked a female front desk attendant for a bucket of ice. She looked me dead’s in my eyes and stayed, “Do you need that now or can someone bring it up to your room?” I was taken back by her response and I said bring it up to my room. My eyes never came in the attendant told me to walk back to the kitchen and ask someone for it.

Couldn’t have been happier choosing to stay at the Glass Light Hotel & Gallery. Great atmosphere beautiful art displayed it felt like my home away from home.

I arrived later than normal due to a delayed flight. The staff was accomodating and following hotel protocol however I was alerted that there is a company policy to cancel a reservation if not checked in by audit time. Apparently my non-refundable room was canceled. I was not aware I needed to call to inform of the delay. It would have been nice to have known this policy. Luckily there was still a room available. This is just alarming after arriving at 3am after a 5 hour delayed flight. The staff was helpful though.

Great location. Really nice room. My only complaint is the shower door handle was almost falling off and should have been repaired.

Beautiful hotel. I enjoyed the glass art museum next to the hotel.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. So unique. Clean, comfortable and well worth the money.

Very nice and upscale hotel.

Very cool hotel. Right next to all the Norfolk sights/sites like the historic Cannonball green path and Freemason street. Excellent restaurants and stores nearby. And the hotel restaurant is really not your usual hotel restaurant but really top flight. Also very helpful and understanding staff.
