Close to the city center, friendly staff, but during my stay, there was a problem with the AC in the room, although in the end the hotel staff handled it well.

Location: Ample parking. Front Desk Staff: Poor. No smiling faces at all. HK Staff: xoxo Room: The soundproofing is poor. The doorbell next door could be heard ringing in our room. The room looks old and dirty (see picture). AC: At 18°C, it's actually not cold enough. Hot water (bathroom): The temperature fluctuates. A little story: Stayed there for two days. The second day, there was a group of junior high school kids. They ran around the corridors, even until 12:30 AM. And no hotel staff came by at all. They just casually rang their friends' doorbells and ran off again... Oh, I'm so tired...

Not a warm welcome. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, very bad experience! Power trip, we couldn't even watch TV. Requested for late check-out, didn't inform us earlier that the room was not available due to fully booked. Never coming back and not recommended. It turned out the room didn't match the photos. It was very old-fashioned. There was no refrigerator. There were only a few TV channels. The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow. The plus side was the location, close to Malioboro. And the parking was ample.

Compared to the same hotel group in Cirebon city, this hotel needs a lot of improvement.

My 3-day, 3-night stay from July 5th to July 8th, 2026, was very memorable, as the hotel is very close to Tugu Station. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the food was varied and delicious, and it was also within walking distance to Malioboro. If I have the opportunity to return to Yogyakarta, I will definitely stay at the Grage Business Malioboro Yogyakarta again.

Check-in was a bit late, but the receptionist was kind and polite when she informed me. I also got a free welcome drink in the lobby while waiting for check-in. The room was very comfortable, and it was close to Malioboro. So, for example, from the station to the hotel by Gocar XL, it only cost Rp14,000. It was really worth it. Culinary spots are also very close, basically, from tourist attractions, this is very easy to access. And the check-out lady was also very friendly. Strategic location, close to the station and Malioboro. Culinary options are also nearby. The downside is that the AC isn't cold enough. Room 1321's sink drain needs to be fixed because it doesn't drain immediately, instead it pools, making it a bit uncomfortable.

However, it wasn't soundproof, as snoring from the next room could be heard loudly. And, due to miscommunication or something, a stranger suddenly entered my room using their access card. Hopefully, this won't happen again in the future.
