overprice, no class , cheap amenities , parking time 30 minutes , limited english , cheap room service , cheap towels , smelly closet , after 5 day a paid 7000 usd they call us after 10 minutes to vacant the room immediatly

Absolutely great hotel in the center of Rio across from Ipanema beach. Gorgeous roof top pool with amazing views. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Gero Restaurant may be my favourite for both food and service. Breakfast restaurant is also awesome. Top marks all round

Fasano hotel is one of my favorite! the service was exceptional, everyone was incredible polite and helpful with anything I needed. My room was very clean and decor was simple yet elegant. I will definitely return to this hotel and im so glad I chose to stay there.

The location on Ipanema Beach is unbeatable & staff are so helpful & accommodating. We cannot recommend this unique hotel w/breathtaking rooftop pool/bar high enough, hard to leave!

Superb hotel in excellent location, right on Ipanema beach, great for relaxing on the balcony with a beer and watching Rio go by. There was a problem with noise caused by fans of a celebrity who was staying at the hotel; the hotel knew we had an issue with this and, although it was not their fault, the managers went above and beyond to keep us happy. Every single member of staff in every department was helpful, polite and a pleasure to deal with. The Italian restaurant at Fasano's is absolutely divine, fabulous food.

The place to be in Rio

This hotel is extremely overpriced for the surrounding area. Several elements did not feel “luxury”, including the tiny rooms, tiny elevators, low ceilings, mediocre pool service. The room itself is not big enough to lay a checked bag on the floor - anywhere. The low ceilings make the environment feel claustrophobic. The elevators are tiny and slow - only fitting 5 people max with everyone breathing down your neck. The slow service delayed getting up to the room. The hallways were almost too dark to see anything. We checked out on a Sunday and the staff were giving us a hard time about a late checkout, despite no one new checking into the room (and my elite Expedia benefits). I just didn’t feel like I was treated with the respect at any other luxury resort. Unless you are willing to upgrade to ocean view room, do not spend the money to stay here.
