Fantastic

Manager and staff are very friendly and enjoyable to talk with. I have been staying at this hotel for over 15 years. It’s close to central Hillerod by foot where you can find the Toyal summer palace and a few great restaurants. Highly recommend

We stayed one night. We got in late, so the hotel manager knew who we were the minute we walked in. Our room was right down the hall. The hallway to the rooms is interior open space with nice decorations, and our room was right there, very fun classy entryway. Everything was just so neat and precise. It was perfect for getting settled in. The breakfast was beyond anything you ever get in the US. Really exceptional! And any staff we spoke with was polite and friendly and helpful. Top to bottom this is an excellent hotel. 5 Stars no hesitation.

We had a good stay. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The glass celling lets in natural light and feels comfortable. Room is spacious. Bathroom can use some updates.

Innovatively designed hotel situated in a quiet area with a nice dining room for eating in, and good breakfast. On the negative side, the bed lamps are ineffective with a very small bulb pointing upwards that could not be adjusted without risk of damage. I would prefer to see dedicated recycling bins in the rooms instead of an instruction to place recyclable items on the table, which I suspect may not be followed by everyone. The beds seem pretty old and would benefit from an upgrade. It would be good to have more plants in the corridor, as I believe there were in the past.

This is an older hotel under the Best Western brand, and its dated quality extends to the attitudes of its staff. On a sunny day, the room gets very warm. Since the building is probably well insulated, it stays that way. There's no air conditioning, and when I went downstairs to ask for a fan, I was told they were all out. So I was stuck sleeping with the windows flung wide open, but no real change in temperature. There's also no vending machines, and their restaurant closes early. I asked the elderly woman at the reception desk if I could please have some ice water. She obliged, nicely enough. I went downstairs a couple hours later and made the same request to the gentleman who replaced her on a new shift. He asked if the previous woman had charged me. I said "no". He said he'll see what he could do. He came back with some ice water, but before handing it to me, made sure I understood that this was the last free one I would get, and he'd have to charge me from now on. I stayed in my room the rest of the night, and vowed never to stay at this hotel again when I'm in Denmark.

The hotel location is very convenient. Good breakfast is included. The hotel has an old section with not so good rooms. But I was upgraded to a nicer room in the newer section of the hotel which was much better. I don't particularly like integrated showers that wet the whole bathroom. But it seems to be common in Europe.

There is NOTHING to eat or drink at this hotel from 10 am until 5:30 pm. No cafe, room service or even a vending machine. The only liquid to drink is water from the sink. No microwave or refrigerator in rooms. We arrived hungry and thirsty and were miserable until the over-priced restaurant opened at 5:30 pm. If you don't have car or don't call a taxi, you will go hungry and thirsty.

Nice, quiet, clean, friendly. Happy there was a kettle for coffee and tea, and especially pleased that we were asked whether or not we would need the room serviced/cleaned while we were there (we didn't). Disappointed that the restaurant was closed for summer vacation, but maybe next time. Very decent breakfast (but no pancakes!) Would stay there again, thank-you!

Very friendly staff, rooms are reasonably sized. During breakfast it seemed a bit hectic with staff running around, an extra pair of hands would be justified.

Functional and comfortable place for a business stay. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very welcoming. Not really located close to anything interesting, but you can reach the castle and the lake with a 20min walk.

I traveled from Canada, my expectation was different, there is no Safety Deposit Box and Coffee Maker. Also the Carpet was very old.

Hotel Hillerød was a very nice hotel. An actual person was at the front desk and very friendly and helpful which is rare in Danish hotels, they are usually self check in. Room was very nice, clean, good bedding and had air conditioning! Super nice breakfast with lovely tables outdoors. Great location.

Staff at the front desk were very helpful in providing suggestion on transportation and how to get around Hillerod.

Location was perfect for a business trip that we had with a customer in the area. We thought the hotel would look much differently but we were quite impressed with the quality of the hotel. \
