Really unique accommodation in an old castle village! Driving in is something else, with all those narrow cobblestone laneways. Staff were super friendly. Our room was quite small, but had everything we needed.

We were greeted by friendly staff, room was clean and beds comfortable. It was in a quiet location. Breakfast was delicious too! We wished we could stay 2 nights

This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Portugal. The hotel was extremely charming with excellent staff. It’s located within the castle walls and near the entrance of the castle, which is open 24/7. The hot tub area is by reservation only (no charge), so me and my husband drank wine and watched sunset all by ourselves. They also provide thick robes in the bedrooms for this. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of options to choose from: meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh pastries, fruit and more. Highly recommend staying at this lovely Inn.

Very well located. Unique bathroom design and delicious breakfast. Use of jacuzzi during sunset made our stay memorable. Plenty of nearby parking was an important criteria for us. Would highly recommend!

Excellent staff especially Jorge. It’s an old traditional building and as such can be rather dark. Our bedroom was especially dark with only one small window at the far end with staff washing hung outside.

Great location and hotel! It’s a little older, but very charming. The staff person was wonderful, and the area is incredible! We parked right outside the beginning of the town, as driving on the narrow streets didn’t feel worth the short-ish walk to get there.

Wonderful accommodation in this mountain retreat. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Very close to the castle. Loved the hot tub snd took advantage everyday. We added a 3rd day to just enjoy the experience. Dining options were limited but good. Recommended.

The hotel sold our confirmed room (terrace room) to another visitor, so when we arrived we had no room. They offered us an inferior room or a move to another hotel. Which we ended up doing. What a disgrace to Hotels.com and Expedia that the hotel operater will sell a confirmed booking to someone else.

Fantastic views. Best sunset which I saw

Very pleased with our hotel choice. The receptionist was extremely helpful and informative on our arrival. Our room is well appointed, clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel is situated the centre of Marvão everything is easily accessible. The views from our terrace are spectacular. We will certainly stay here again.

Great place!

Everyone was so friendly at the hotel and Elsa very helpful. They made us a dinner reservation and allowed us to bring breakfast up to the room when I didn’t have enough time to eat and then get ready. The room was comfortable open the windows was really nice! Great location right next to the castle in the parking was super easy. They also helped us find the best route to drive up to the castle, which made it a lot easier than trying to navigate the little streets. The breakfast buffet was simple, but everything was so so delicious!

Bon petit déjeuner inclus. céréales fruits charcuterie pains pâtisseries. Il faut demander une capsule au personnel pour utiliser la machine à cafe espresso. Si non il y a un thermos de café filtre Chambre petite mais confortable. L’hôtel est dans la vieille ville fortifiée non loin du château. Très bien situé

The welcoming staff was warm and helpful. Our bedroom was very small. The road to get there was quite challenging. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay right next to the castle.

We had the room next to the hot tub with a balcony overlooking the valley, the cities below and the mountains. Wow, wow, wow! Fort was right next door. Restaurants were available even though it wasn’t high season. We fell in love with Marvão. What a wonderful place

Marvao is beautiful and Don Dinis’s location is very close to the gardens, the museum and castle. Breakfast was excellent.

A rustic classic bed and breakfast with a warm hot tub is a nice pavilion on the edge of a cliff. Really quite wonderful. Marvão, of course, is a special, magical place that is not to be missed. Highly recommend.

Nice and well-maintained hotel right next to the Marvão castle. It is a unique experience to visit Marvão's town and castle, and to stay at Dom Dinis.
