Staff was amazing

We really enjoyed the cottage. It was super quiet. It wins the most pillows award in our month-long travels. Easy walk to town and hiking trails. We even had a BBQ one night. Great views as well. Staff was extremely helpful with local bus directions to Sorrento - glad we listened to them and did not drive.

The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs especially arranging transportation to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Air conditioning was minimal and we had to open balcony doors at night in order to sleep comfortably. Overall would recommend staying at this property as it was high up in the hills and quiet.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful! The hotel was modern and clean & the location was great as it was close to the village with lots of restaurants and walkable to the busses that take you into Sorrento town

Excellent stay

Our stay at O Sole Mio was enjoyable overall. The hotel was very clean, with excellent room service and a lovely garden, though some renovation work and the small pool were a bit disruptive. Staff were friendly and welcoming, special thanks to Veronica in the hotel reception for her outstanding service. The main drawback is the location: being uphill, it’s cooler than Sorrento and takes about 20–25 minutes each time to reach town. Breakfast could also be improved, as the constant questions from catering staff felt intrusive rather than relaxing. A clean, welcoming hotel with great service, but the location and a few small issues slightly affected our stay.

It was lovely to stay out of Sorrento and have views across to Naples and Vesuvius. A couple of mornings we were in the clouds which was magical. We only had breakfast but it plentiful and the staff were lovely! I found the beds a little hard but that was my issue not my husbands however the sofa bed was heavenly. If possible request a room over the entrance to the hotel, it’s not noisy at all and you get a beautiful view. If facing the other way it’s still beautiful but you’re looking at villages down the hill. The pool is small but fine for our needs. I was a little disappointed that the pool boy said we weren’t allowed to bring a boiled sweet to the pool side however water was allowed. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!

Amazing time at Hotel O Sole Mio, the staff were great, in particular Candida made are stay spectacular.

Best hotel i could book for 6 days of travelling Sorrento and the area. The crew is so thoughtful and helping, they helped us with recommendations for nearby activities. Also, I celebrated my birthday and they helped my boyfriend to surprise me with a flowers bouquet. Highly recommended. Best VFM and the area itself of Massa Lubrense is beautiful and peaceful, full with classic delicious Italian restaurants. Would definitely love to go back there!

Traveling from the suburbs of Philadelphia and Washington DC area where we lived 37 year to be in Roma was quite a cultural shock. After 3 days in Roma the hotel O Sole Mio was exactly what my son and I needed to reset and prepare for travel to Sicily. Top of the mountain and amazing view city below the from pool area!

I was disappointed with the hotel Our room faced north and was above the entrance overlooking the car park. There were no lamps. No proper wardrobe. No dressing table or drawers. The hotel lacked charm and atmosphere. It was clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff mostly friendly. The breakfast was disappointing. Tinned fruit and warm scrambled eggs

Service staff at both reception and the restaurant were not very friendly

The property and our room were very nice. We had a balcony with a view of Sorrento, across the water. We did not get a chance to use the pool, but the area looked very nice. If you are booking tours, I would recommend booking thru the hotel, as they will pick you up there. We made the mistake of booking one tour thru someone else and we had to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, then take a bus to another city to pick up the tour. We had to get up very early to do this, Franco was wonderful he had to-go bags ready for us with water, juice a pastry and sandwiches. He helped us with the 2nd tour booking which was great and many other things, he made our stay very special! We also had a great experience with Marco and also with the bartender and a nice women at the desk, ( can't remember all the names) that helped us in booking a bus to get to the airport.
