Nice quiet room with comfy double bed. Shower and bath were both good once I'd worked out which knobs to turn. Great breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold items. The lady on reception was very pleasant.

Great staff and accommodations!

Our stay at Hotel Blonduos was lovely! The front desk woman was very kind and helpful, we had shared it was our honeymoon and they left us some sweets and wine in our room which was so thoughtful and such a nice touch! The property is very clean and clearly recently updated. Breakfast was great, and all of the common areas were thoughtfully designed and very nice! The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was also recently updated, we also had a great view of the water from our room!

Room was clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is amazing. I accidentally reserved the hotel for the wrong day, and the proprietor was so kind as not just squeeze us in on the right day during summer high season, but also upgraded us to two meticulously furnished Victorian apartments overseeing the sea from many windows and patios. The restaurant also served fabulous food, cocktails and lovely breakfasts. This is the kind of place that makes travel not just fun, but unexpectedly heart warming and welcoming.

Clean and good location

We booked the church apartment which was simply incredible a so very unique, but the location and entire place was great as far as we could tell. Recommend!!!

Lovely room in the annex. Unfortunately let down by what appears to be severe cost cutting . No shampoo, conditioner or body lotion in the room. Very loor breakfast. Pre made coffee in an urn, undrinkable. Bored staff, empty orange juice and blueberry joghurt bowl for our whole breakfast, 3 staff members walked by and shuffled glasses next to the empty pots and did nothing. Almost empty hot food containers, we did arrive fairly early so no excuse for any of the above. Really noisy room, virtually no noise insulation to the room above, my partner hardly slept due to the noise. Unfortunately I can not recommend this hotel

My stay at Hótel Blönduós was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in Iceland. Everything started badly: I received a message informing me that the hotel had been rented out to a private company and that I had to choose between two alternatives. I picked Hotel Laugarbakki, their “sister hotel,” which unfortunately felt more like the neglected, poor relative of the family. The property itself had an unsettling atmosphere, almost like a budget version of the Overlook Hotel from The Shining. The “luxury” room I was given was dirty, the bathroom door was a smoked‑glass panel that let in every bit of Icelandic summer daylight, and the blackout curtains were completely ineffective. To make things worse, the towels were dirty and even torn, and the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The whole situation felt misleading and unprofessional. I genuinely believe neither of the options they offered is worth considering.
