Our stay at the Piccolo Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the charming old town of Pizzo, this boutique hotel perfectly blends modern comfort with authentic Italian character. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, helpful, and always ready with great local recommendations — whether it was where to find the best tartufo gelato (hint: it’s nearby!) or the most scenic spots to watch the sunset. The room was stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with high-end touches — especially the rain shower and incredibly comfortable bed. We had a beautiful balcony with a small view of the sea. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a daily highlight. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and cappuccinos with a view of the Calabrian coast — it’s the kind of morning that makes you want to stay forever. The location is perfect for exploring. Just a few steps from the main piazza, restaurants, cafes, and the historic castle, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. If you’re visiting southern Italy and want a boutique hotel that offers style, service, and soul — Piccolo Grand Hotel is the place. We can’t wait to return!

Great spot conveniently located by one of the main lookout points. Daily breakfast on the rooftop terrace was always fresh and delicious. Staff members are attentive, kind, and really helpful! Room was so clean and comfortable!

A disappointing end to a wonderful holiday in Calabria. The hotel did look just as lovely as the website and the beach club was also reflective. What was disappointing was the attitude of the staff member on reception. I am not sure if this was due to a communication barrier but she was very dismissive and unhelpful. We were told check in was from 3pm although our Expedia booking confirmation said 2pm. Either way a little information on getting to the beach club or when our room would be ready would be helpful and avoided a frustrating conversation. After returning we were told the shuttle to the beach club was unavailable, but to be fair they made an exception and did take us although after a phone call the same member of staff refused to bring us back, thank goodness for Uber. Rather than the two emails I received beforehand regarding additional charges, I would have appreciated info on booking shuttles and using the beach club. The website indicated this would be easily available. The roof top terrace closed at 7pm so our plans to relax with a drink did not happen. The air in our room would not go below 21 so left us with an uncomfortable & restless night. In hindsight we wished we had given this hotel a miss. Pizzo is charming and the hotel breakfast on the terrace was good.

It was an amazing stay, gorgeous hotel in a beautiful town. I loved everything about it. My room was fantastic, the decor was so cool, it was spotless with attention to detail. The rooftop terrace breakfast was incredible. I would love to go back and would recommend it to anyone going to Pizzo. I wish I had stayed longer than 2 nights.

I stayed in both the Pizzo central location as well as the beach apartment. Both were outstanding. The shuttle picked me up and the train station and took me to my beach apartment when it was time for me to move there. Great service and absolutely spotless rooms- modern and well equipped. I will be back!!

This is a stunning hotel. Clean. Comfortable. Updated and very stylish. I had arranged for pickup from the train station and there was someone waiting for me in a golf cart to take me to the hotel. It’s been the best spot of my 3 week trip so far. I’m a happy lady.

The PGH is absolutely perfect! What a beautiful, clean hotel in an ideal area of Pizzo. Super close walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was so delicious and we looked forward to the spread every morning. The views from our room looking out into the sea (and the rooftop terrace!) were a dream. The AC in the room worked well and was such a relief to have at the end of each day. The staff are all so kind and attentive and made the stay so enjoyable. We loved taking the hotel’s Tuk Tuk shuttle to and from the beach club!! Would absolutely recommend this hotel if you’re going to Pizzo!

Just stopped overnight, and I admit I was too ambitious about my Italian driving skills. No judgement from these guys - They ferried us back and forth to the car, helped us find parking, and shared some stories about the town. Will come back one day for a proper stay.

Beautifully decorated with great rooms and bathrooms. Streets leading to the hotel are very narrow and may not accommodate larger vehicles. Parking is offsite at a municipal lot, but they do provide a shuttle.

What a beautiful hotel!!! It may be Piccolo but it is GRAND in every aspect of the word. Attention to detail and to serving any needs was beyond any expectations in our 4 week travels through Southern Italy. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious with an amazing view of the sea and coastline. We will definitely be back!!! They even attend to watering their plants which in Southern Italy is a rarity.

Great hotel in an amazing location - very central and convenient. Breathtaking views from the terrace and homemade tasty breakfast. I particularly liked my room which was tastefully decorated and had 2 terraces with amazing view! I would have given this property top rating, if the lady at the reception wouldn’t have been so rude and arrogant. First of all, they give you option to choose a bed, and I chose Queen bed (vs two separate beds - was travelling alone). On the arrival I got two beds and a comment that all beds in the hotel are like this. Ok, fine, but when why would you ask your guest to choose? Then, I checked out 30’ later than the deadline: had an important call for work I couldn’t cut short). At 11:02 the reception started calling me and in a very rude and arrogant way telling me to get out of the room immediately. This is not a 4 star hotel service, I’m sorry. You pay quite a lot of money for 4 stars (with no parking) to be treated like that. Never had such a bad check-out experience. Plus, as I said, they didn’t give me the room I booked and the bed I asked for, so 30’ checkout delay could have been treated in a better way. I was even ready to pay an extra fee for late check-out if asked (was my bad indeed), but was never offered. Just arrogant tone. Apart from that - really amazing hotel and facilities. Really everything was great! It’s a shame people on reception don’t know what 4 star hotel service should look like 😬

Gorgeous little boutique hotel. Painfully restored and decorated with style and flair. Our room (16)had 3 terraces and views galore! All facilities including roof deck and the breakfast terraces were pristine and anointed with many amenities. People were outstanding. And most accommodating. Did I mention a delicious breakfast spread?

This property was perfect for all our needs. Kala made a wonderful breakfast and was so helpful with all our needs. All the staff was very helpful and the transport in the golf cart from the car park was perfect. If you don’t know parking in the white is free and the blue you must pay in the pay box
