From the hotel staff, to the location to the ease of accommodations our trip here was wonderful! The rooftop restaurant is something extra special at sunset.

Katari was a beautiful hotel. The location couldn’t be better, right on the plaza. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. Our room also had a filtered water tap! This allowed us to avoid buying so many plastic bottles. Breakfast on the roof was such a treat. Good food and an unforgettable view overlooking the plaza!

Wonderful property

Katari’s location is second to none: right in front of the main city plaza. The rooms were nicely appointed. There is no AC, just a fan, which we didn’t really need to use during our stay (early May). Breakfast on the rooftop offers a killer view of Plaza de Armas with the cathedral and volcano as a beautiful backdrop. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The plaza can get noisy at night, but is safe with lots of police officers around.

Best possible location and the views from the rooftop are unparalleled with El Misty and Picha Picha as a backdrop. Service was excellent. Room was clean and tidy.

Wonderful staff.

The location is amazing. The included breakfast is delicious and the view from the rooftop restraunt where it's served is beautiful. We did have some trouble with water into our room with heavy rain, but it was more than made up for by the staff who were very helpful over the entire stay.

Excellent location, with plenty of dining and shopping options around the hotel. Good breakfast with a wonderful view of the city from the breakfast area. Breakfast staff were lovely and wonderful. However, the check in and checkout experience was slightly below average. No warm greetings or help with the luggage during checkout. Not a make a make or break thing, particularly given the wonderful location of the hotel, but it’s the little details that count. At check-in, I required assistance with translation to understand what my taxi driver was saying and I found the interaction very frustrating. I explained to the gentleman at the check-in that I simply required translation and he seemed somewhat bothered by this rather than being helpful. Overall, the location makes up for the minor details, but it was worth noting for other travellers.

Lino is a great host and knowledgeable. Lino helped us from start to end and make sure we were good. Overall the whole staff was great. Great view upstairs, best Lomo Saltado and amazing rooms. Arequipa hotel at it’s best
