A stay at Mantravana in Yogyakarta is highly recommended. One suggestion: the bathroom door light could be improved. Otherwise, everything is great.

I really liked the hotel's vibe; it's truly a resort in the middle of the city. The service, cleanliness, and food are all highly recommended. The hotel is strategically located. A short walk ahead leads to the main road, close to Ambarukmo Plaza and numerous fast food outlets. The ambiance is garden-like. It has two floors and only has stairs to access. So, if you're bringing a lot of stuff, it's a real challenge to get a room on the second floor. But don't worry, the hotel will deliver your luggage to your room. I booked a deluxe premier room, which was spacious, with a window and a balcony. There's a mini fridge. The bathroom is quite spacious and has complete amenities. The water heater works well and the faucet is wudhu-friendly. A pitcher is provided for refilling water, and a dispenser is provided in the hallway. There's also a swimming pool. Although close to the main road, it's not noisy.

The hotel is really cool and spacious, perfect for families. The pool is clean, and the staff is very helpful. Recommended for those heading to the airport or to Plaza Ambarrukmo. The only downside is the shower and toilet are leaky, but overall, it's great.

All the hotel staff were friendly, from the security guards and the receptionist to the HK. The location is nice, but unfortunately, there were a lot of mosquitoes in my room. I think I'll have to fog it more often because I'd be so sorry if I brought a baby with me, and his face would get bitten. But overall, I was very satisfied, and the hotel is close to restaurants. Next time I go to Jogja again, I'll choose this place, hopefully there won't be so many mosquitoes anymore 😆

A 4-star hotel.. Breakfast is rationed (very disappointed).... There are still many 3-star hotels with more complete facilities and breakfast (buffet) at the same price (not on weekends).
