The Deluxe Queen Room at Swing & Pillows @ I-City Shah Alam offers a satisfactory stay. The room is spacious and comes well-equipped with amenities such as filtered water, hot shower, hair dryer, clean sheets and pillows, a strong air-conditioner, and a large bathroom with good water pressure. The toilets include bidets and are kept reasonably clean, and it’s evident that the room has been recently renovated. Common areas are also spotless and pleasantly fragrant.
The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and housekeeping does an excellent job maintaining the rooms. There’s ample cupboard and storage space, which is a nice touch for longer stays.
On the downside, the air-conditioner is positioned quite low on the wall and blows directly toward the bed, which can be uncomfortable. The bathroom tiles are too slippery and could be hazardous. The door card scanner occasionally malfunctions, requiring several attempts before unlocking. The room furniture feels a bit dated—possibly part of the design choice—but it doesn’t quite align with the otherwise modern renovation. Additionally, there are too few power sockets and lights; the room tends to feel dark and makes it difficult to charge multiple devices. The room facing the main street can be a bit noisy from all the traffic. Parking is RM4 per day. Wifi is weak in the rooms.
