Jambuluwuk is a great shout for a family trip because it actually feels like you're in Jogja, not just a generic hotel. The tropical pool is a lifesaver for keeping a kid entertained after a morning of sightseeing, and being near to Malioboro makes grabbing dinner or a quick rickshaw ride super easy. It’s got that warm, traditional vibe and a massive breakfast spread that’s a hit even with picky eaters—definitely a solid, comfortable home base for the week.

Location near Malioboro but not a crowded area, the good swimming pool and hotel area, best staff, the staff helped us to improve our car tire with advice and special service from outside to come to the hotel.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, especially since my father was with me. The bed was large, allowing for a good night's sleep, and the hotel amenities were complete. The food was varied, with many Jogja specialties like gudeg and putu, a rare traditional dish that was incredibly delicious. The hotel was also close to Malioboro. I booked for two days, but after checking in two hours, I immediately checked out. The sofa in the room was so dusty, my body itched after sitting on it. The mattress smelled damp, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. My son's asthma immediately flared up, so I decided not to stay long at this hotel. If you're a 2-star hotel, this makes sense. But for a 5-star hotel like today, this still falls far short of expectations.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to Malioboro, the souvenir center, and within walking distance to Gudeg Permata, which is open late at night. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast selection is good, and there's a kids' club and a children's pool.
